Ok guys, this is getting better and better. Todd is bringing in several of his Boss team members to the event along with their cars! You really don't want to miss this opportunity to get your car out and use it for its intended purpose. The full details are up on the website and registration is open! The weekend is jam-packed with events and fun. There's going to be everything from parade laps on the track, to an autocross, track school, open tracking sessions and even good old fashioned heads up drag racing
I've attached the event registration form below, but you can go here and get the full details:
http://www.racemph.com/Ford-Mustang-Roundup-2011.htm
I would encourage everyone to get signed up as soon as possible to lock in your spot. It's going to be a great opportunity to meet your fellow Boss owners, Ford Boss team members and have a great time at the track!
This event is open to all Ford Mustangs and Ford GTs so spread the word!

So, if we don't have our car yet, is there much point in us coming?
I should add, that I'm willing to pay some of the fee's for someone if I can be their passenger during any desired events they want to sign up. Yes I'm a leech, but a paying one.
Please PM if anyone is interested in doing me a favor.

I spoke with George (Owner) at MPH yesterday, he was VERY impressed with Gary's (cloud9) ability behind the wheel, the impression I got from him is, Gary is the real deal on a track,,,I hope someone from this site will be able to hang with him, because I know I would probably not make water-boy in his pit!
The reason I was talking with George, was to try and figure out if this would be something for a 'VIRGIN' to tracking would have fun at and actually learn & not feel left out by those who know how to get around a track. He put my mind at ease and assured me, that I would only be on a track with others of my skill (lack of) level and he explained how there would be huge gaps/space between cars and also plenty of no passing zones.
He also is gonna hook me up with a Mustang club that goes to his track for some fun so I can get an idea what it's all about,,sounds like this BOSS 302 is getting me into some fun circles,,,Thanks (or blame) has to go to Gary for getting the ball rolling on this weekend of planned fun-->

If I remember correctly my GPS said 109 was my top speed, but I think I saw 120+ on the speedo. I haven't tried comparing the GPS lap timer's speed to the speedo, but I'll do that to see if it's close. I averaged 75.88 MPH according to the timing sheets. There are several very fast sweepers/kinks with no shortage of adrenaline rushes. It's a technical track and suited very well to the Bosses exceptional handling capabilities. In about three weeks I'm heading to BIR where the front straight is a mile long and Turn 1 is a banked 60 degree right hander so will be testing the top speed there

Wow, you sure will, I hit 138 twice on a 3150 foot straight away, sounds like you will hit the speed limiter for sure.
It may be my imagination but it seems the Boss gets to 120 in a hurry then it takes forever to go to 130 and higher. Being a beginner I could be wrong but that is the way it felt.
