WOT run results in burning plastic smell?!?

Any suggestions? Most noticeable from side rather than front of car.

Check your plastic fairings between the end of the side exhaust turndowns and your rear wheels.

Check the little mud/rock flaps directly behind the side exhaust pipes - front side of rear wheel wells. Mine are melted due to the side exhaust temperatures.

Check along the exhaust for a wire loom or something getting too close. I thought I read a thread about someone with a harness near the trans that got too hot.

You sure it ain't the mix of frying tires and scorched brakes?

Looks like this might be it. I'll get it on a hoist to be sure. Odd it hasn't happened before.

Yup, check the little fairing/mud flap looking thing at the rear of the rocker molding on each side of the car; it is immediately behind the side exhause outlet. Mine are partly melted as well.
