Wondering if the boss will have the dreaded 11 5.0 wheel hop. I have read in numerous forums that the wheel hop is bad and people buying new lca`s to try to control it.

 

That is an good question? I have not heard much about the wheelhop on the 11's
I have a 2001 Cobra with IRS and that really had some problems at first. I was really impressed with the GT's and Mach 1's with the stright axle that had very little problems. I am not worried myself about that with the one I am getting, as I found that you can adjust the launch with some practice and get around it.
I have not heard much about wheel hop on the 11's and with the video's on the net with prople launching very hard (even with street tires) it does not appear to have the problem, or at least like the IRS Cobras! The Boss has a stiffer setup on the axle mounting which is the solution also.
Time will tell though.

Haven't heard much about a serious wheelhop problem. but some do and some don't I guess.

I have read some of the various random claims but not enough to warrant a "2011 Mustangs have wheel hop problems read all about it" kind of issues. It's possibly there but I haven't heard much significant evidence that it's the horrendous problem that has existed in the past. I too am unsure of how big or small this problem has been.

I really hope not. The GT500s are horrible. At least all the 07-09s. You have to replace the LCAs and/or UCA, and/or put in stiffer lowering springs to fix it even at stock power levels. The one shot I saw of the Boss suspension looks like it has the flimsy LCAs we have on our GT500s, although they looked "shorter"? I am hoping with the stiffer suspension on the Boss we won't have the dreaded wheel hop.

 

As Automagically posts, I think some people in some circumstances talk about wheel hop, primarily in drag racing/maximum acceleration scenarios.

Wheel hop yes it there but with the PZero summer tires it depends on how hot or how cold it is out side .I have a 2011 brembo GT with the PZero summer tires on it just like the base boss will come with . I have my car lower with some steeda sport spring and i'am using Koni STR.T sturts & shock . Now i got my car in AUG. 2010 it in the 90s most the time here in SO. Calif. that time of year and i had zero wheel hop trouble .Now it DEC. and i when to the track (drag racing) to base line my car . A cold front came in the temp. drop down to the low 40s at nite. Come race day it over cast no sun all day long . The day starts out in the midd to upper 50s and in the afternoon it got up to the low to midd 60s. I had epic wheel hop in the car . i could not even do a good slow shift on the 1-2 or the 2-3 and not get wheel hop. Now a few days later it got up to 80f today so on my way home from work i turn off the traction control i come up to a stop sign . i take off bring the car up to 3,000 rpm in first gear hold for a min. than hammer the car hooks up no spin i do a clean hard 1-2 shift (not my full on killer shift) i get a small chirp again car hooks right back up no drama no wheel hop .So the PZeros summer tires work realy good when it hot out side and suck big time when it cold . At lease that what i see so far how well the PZeros on the new boss 302 work we will not know till you guys get your cars and tell us all .
