When was your car built? My was built on 3/23 with a ETA of next week is the last update I got. Did anybody get there car built this week? I curious how many Bosses really got built in the first 1/4.

 

Ordered 11/22 according to my "Vehicle Order Confirmation", with money down. 1Q build, no Vin or schedule date. And I live in the same State they build them! Where's the love?

I ordered my Boss Dec 13 2010, It was the first 2012 ford ordered from my dealer, I got my vin about March 15 2011 and a build date of 4/4/11, window sticker appeared on line 3/28/11, went to dealer yesterday and build date has changed again to 4/11/11 looks like if it stays on track may see it soon LOL...

Well… They continue to move. I hope your vehicles start arriving next month. I know most of these delays are due to supplier issues, but they are getting there. Thank you for your strength and patience.

Ordered Dec 1. Dealers told me this week that it's an April build, still no vin.

 

did you guys with no vins still get the confirmation that the order was accepted. i know in my calling of every ford dealer in east and central texas that 90% of them seem to think anyone can order a boss 302, i had several argue that any dealer could order, they couldn't understand that putting an order in the computer doesn't mean they will build. just wondering if anyone ran into one of those idiots that had no allocation and swore they did. anyhow my dealer said the next thing is the confirmaiton saying the order was accepted and then it will be nothing until the vin is issued before the build starts i guess

 

Yes it's called a DORA dealer ordered receipt acknowledged, I believe. But it doesn't mean anything. And yes I've run into a couple dealers like that too. Come in leave a deposit, we'll get the car

This is correct. Even if an order for ANY car is accepted, it still doesn't mean that it will get built. It won't get built unless and until that dealer receives an allocation. In the case of the Boss' only certain dealers did. For other vehicles, the dealer will eventually get an allocation, but the wait may be a fair bit longer than promised in the case of smaller dealers.

 

thankfully my car is with one of the bigger dealers in san antiono, jordan ford. the had a Q3 allocation too but in the time it took me to haggle them to what i wanted for my car they sold it. i alsmot had them coming off msrp on the boss to seal the deal, but instead he came up on my trade because "if i did it once the salesman woudl want it everytime" lol

 

Apparently mine is on Material Hold, but I still don't have a VIN. I don't know if that means it's supposed to be a Q1 or what.

 

You need to ask ur dealer what Quarter allocation he has

I've asked and he doesn't seem to know. Either he's not being told either, or he doesn't quite understand what question he needs to be asking the zone rep (or whoever). He does know that they'll be getting 3 Boss 302's and 1 Laguna Seca though.

 

I had a hell of a time getting it from my dealer, too. I finally went and found a stock order for MSRP and then asked for my deposit back. I didn't tell him I had already found a new car. He called me back a couple of hours later with 2nd Q allocation. I didn't take his word & called FCS. Told them what happened & they opened a case. A rep called me today & confirmed that I have a 2nd Q build. I don't know y it happened that way. I think the dealer was just being lazy

 

still somewhat frustrated. Have a first quarter build but still no info from my dealer. Emailed Deysha at FCS but have not heard back. Hopefully I did that correctly. Any of you other first quarter builds still missing vin's and build dates. I ordered back in early December and am getting more frustrated more by the lack of information than anything else. Same old story as everyone else I suppose.

 

I also have no build date or VIN, but Deysha got back to me yesterday and basically confirmed that it's in the system, status as Unscheduled - Material Hold, so you'll probably hear something soon. My guess is you're in the same situation as I am.
