What's Your Other Car?
Sorry if this has been mentioned before, I tried searching. For those of you who have other cars/daily drivers what are they, and how often do you drive the boss vs the other?
In my garage the boss often wins the seat time, but I'm trying to save the boss for having fun only. Just curious if anyone else thinks the same way and what kind of cars other owners have...

Great thread idea!
I've got another 6 speed manual, live axle vehicle -a '12 Xterra Pro-4X with manual transmission. It's a great daily driver, able to go anywhere, any time. My Boss only gets driven maybe 2-3 times/week usually.

Cool, yeah I just kept thinking about it especially after going to track attack and finding out that most guys have "other" cars.
I have a metallic grey 2012 merc glk350 that my wife puts around in, and my daily is a raptor. Weekends are split between boss and a Ducati.
If I had the space I'd think about other rides but for now this works for us. Wish I could drive the boss to work but it breaks my heart to put "mindless miles" on it. I'm not the guy who parks it all the time, I do have over 10k on it but I want those miles to be worth it.

I hear ya, Johnny. My first Boss was my daily driver for a few months and I enjoyed it (except when it was cold or raining), but my '13 LS is purely for fun and occasional road trips. And it has to fight for time on weekends with my bikes, too (R1, Ducati 851, and TL1000S). Raptors are amazing, by the way!
11ShelbyGT500 - to answer your question, my Xterra is Metallic Green. OEM locking rear diff, overhead lamps, skid plates, good stereo, etc. You can get Pro-4Xs for $7k+ off MSRP if you look.

89 sprint, that's awesome. Wasn't that somehow related to the Geo Metro? It's gotta be efficient.
Glad to see some other motorcycle riders here. Particularly sport bikes. I bet that the Boss 302 attracts riders.
Acura TSX wagon has always been a car I secretly admired. I also like the audi sportwagons and the CTS V wagon.

1993 Toyota HiAce - the 'man van', good for car pooling to lunch or out for a night of drinking.
2001 Opel Vectra - the daily driver, gets 43mpg
2001 Bullitt - the project car, in the 3rd year of a rebuild.
I haven't driven the BOSS in just shy of a year though since it stayed in the States while I'm stationed here in Spain. Hopefully I'll be able to take some leave in Aug/Sept and take her out for some fun.
On the topic of bikes, I go back and forth on whether I want to get one or not. I attended MotoGP in Jerez last weekend, which was amazing, and I'm back on my "I need a bike" kick again.

My other car is a 2005 Saleen convertible, never was a big vert fan until my wife talked me into it and have loved it ever since. The Saleen was my daily driver (56,000 miles currently) until I got the Boss, now it only comes out on nice sunny top down days and shows.
The Boss is now my DD, a totally different car than the Saleen and so much fun. I've had it almost a year and a half and just went over 9,000 miles. I enjoy both cars and drive them as much as possible.

Audi Q7 TDI. Hauls everything! People, tires, large parts even a little *** with the APR ECU tune. Plus, it gets 28-30 MPG while doing so. Further bonus, it makes a great tow vehicle for getting the Boss to and from events...18-19MPG towing.

Drive the Boss every chance I get but a Dodge Journey does family hauling, a Mazda 2 winter, rush hour and shopping during the week and on special occasions the Boss gets put on one side, while we tool around in a '65 Mustang Fastback.

My everyday is a 2004 Dodge Neon, red of course
30+ MPG, 25$ to fill up. Boring, but cheap & gets the job done. Our youngest son will inherit it next year. Looking at a new Focus for DD duties next year.
Put between 5-6K/yr on the Boss.
Joe, You get banned again?

It is the same as the Metro. Little 3 cylinder motor. Only has a 30 litre tank, and it goes farther than the Mustang with 60 litres. More legroom in the back, too for the kids. Go figure ...

And if you noticed your post deleted . . . that's because it was . . .
