Waxing the stripes?
Has anyone waxed their Boss yet and waxed the stripes? Just curious if you should wax them or not. Generally, I have avoided wax and stripes in the past.
Appreciate your experience. Thanks!

Same on my Shelby. Been using Zaino on them since day 1 (two years now). In fact, I would say that you need to in order to keep them looking good (in fact, you can clay bar them as well, as long as you move the clay parallel to the edges of the decal).

Waxing stripes is no problem and helps protect them. Back in the day (dating myself again) I would wax my 70 Boss complete so I drove over to my friend's house for a Saturday afternoon wax party. He had a 69 Mach I and he had waxed the hood (flat black paint). Not good. we still laugh about it

Older style tape graphics that were flat black and me using paste wax that you let dry to a haze before buffing off. Bad idea back then. With newer spray waxes that are one step I don't think there will be any problems now.

Again, I've also had great results with Zaino. Phytrpilot is right: newer waxes and newer materials in stripes = no problem. But in the old days, flat back paint with wax was a bad deal.

Any recommendations on which Zano pieces to use? There are a lot of parts to the complete system. I've been looking at buying into just using their whole system.

Someone on another forum long ago actually went to the assembly plant and Ice is what was recommended. I've been using it for the past year and it has by far the best effort:results ratio of any product I have ever used. The other revelation was the super plush blue/grey microfiber towels from Autopia.

Ice wax x3. I love the stuff. Put it on everything...stripes, rubber, plastic, flat finish plastic like the Boss rear spoiler, windows, etc. There is no white residue to dig out of spaces between body panels, stripe edges or molded details.
I used the Ice wax when I first got my Boss. A year later, water still beaded on all the surfaces as if I waxed it a day ago. The stripes on my Boss still look as new.
I have not tried Zaino. I don't feel I need to since I found the Ice wax.

Liquid Ice Wax X4
. They have changed it from the clear liquid to more of a 'polish' looking wax. Its a little harder to wipe off but still easy to remove. You can still put it on anything except glass.

I had a bottle of liquid Nxt Gen Meguiars Gold that I used this weekend on the hood and it turned out just fine. Stripes look okay and no white residue.
When this bottle is empty I'll try Ice.
For a DD I'm a believer that you do not have to spend a fortune on protectants. As long as you apply a good one, I wouldn't expect to have any issues.
Right now I just want to Clay-Bar the whole car... I guess except the stripes. lol
