Anyone try this in the Boss or any other car?

 

I thought Cobra guys loved Evans but I had read somewhere that you might have to worry about corrosion, not sure where that was though.

I have not tired any substitute coolant. However, on the BMW S1000 forum of which I'm a member there has been great debate about various substitute coolants. These bikes are really designed for the race track, and thus in the interest of lightness, etc do not have much of a cooling system and are not at their best awaiting traffic signals, plus making 200hp per liter compared to the Boss's 88.3. So these bikes run hot, and moreover the heat is transferred via the frame to the rider's leg so the heat is a real problem. However the constant nagging concern was just what these "magic" potions would do to the aluminum block, cylinders, and radiator.

I remember thinking their use was too much of a risk for the possible rewards, and I would opine this to be doubly so for the Boss which suffers no cooling problems to my knowledge.

Been thinking about this for some time, Evans has been around for awhile, the original coolant required an Evans water pump but it seems more modern products have been designed to use in a typical cooling system without modification.

Probably order this soon as I have three years on my factory coolant.
