Dealer allocation for one?

Too bad Sparky is not around to better answer this but they are two completely different things. The process for getting a VIN are different from the process and selection of a build date. Build dates come down to the allocation a certain dealer has to get a car in order. Local reps can change that and make a priority higher for what ever reason.

I ordered the Boss from a small dealer in a small town. I was told by the sales manager that (at the time) the Boss could not be ordered. He called the rep to show me this fact, of course I ended up with an order. I feel this is the reason I got number 6. Now the rep was aware of an early Boss order and added a high priority to my Boss, just because he knew of it. I could be wrong but that call I feel change the number of my car since other ordered cars before me with 1st quarter builds ended up with higher plate numbers.

Arrived after Dealer closed last Sat. 5/7 (original est. 4/28, backed up to 4/23, delivered 5/7, picked up 5/9). 1ZVBP8CU2C5216275 #452 KB both options. The Ford Dealer is a part of much larger Auto group (Fox). The Salesperson is Don Ainsworth and a very down-to-earth and respectible guy. Excellent communication starting back in Aug. 10'. After the 15-20 cars I've purchased in my lifetime, I have never had a better experience. I'll be back for another purchase.

The Auto group owner has a Silver LS. I believe it is #47, but don't quote me. A decent and respectable gentlemen as he showed up and chatted when finalizing mine. If I get the chance, I'll get his VIN# and confirm the plate# for the registry (private).
