transmission swap

has anyone done any trans swaps???? im thinking of putting the transmission from a v-6 in the mt82s are the same except gearing any commentary ??????

Even if the rest is identical, a 4.24 1st gear will be quite a bit weaker than a 3.66. V8 torque might shatter it.
