Unhappy To trade my 2011 GT Brembo for a 2012 BOSS?

Hi Guys,

Need to check this one with you guys. This one is like a headache. Recently (November '10), I bought a 2011 premium GT Brembo w/. 3.73 gear, now is around just 1300 miles only (just use in the weekends), (no track time). I purchased this one under the X plan finance. But now that the 2012 BOSS came out, I really like that car, but I don't know if it will be a very bad deal to trade my car for this one.( I noticed that also the BOSS is under the X plan). Do you think that dealers will respect the X plan, or they will go crazy with overpricing the BOSS?

as far as i know, BOSS isnt eligible for X-Plan, and if they changed that, the demand is to high, the dealers wont honor it..

Why would you buy the GT when you knew the Boss was coming out and all the facts about the car were known ?

Because of Shane's comments, at first every body was talkin about a 5-10 K overprice. And I doubted that this car was going to be in the X plan, since the Shelby GT500 was not included (and because of the low production of the car).
Yes the BOSS is in the X plan I saw it.

Keep it,and bolt on the KB supercharger (560 at the wheels), plus tweak your suspension a little, and the Boss would be chasing you!
Seems there is always a hotter new Mustang coming out,and trying to stay current is a tough game.
You could just wait, and maybe find a deal on a Boss, someone has to later sell.

There's always something better just around the corner. Buy a '12 Boss? You might kick yourself when the '13 Boss arrives (don't expect any mechanical changes, but there will likely be a few trim/headlamp/tail lamp change). Then in '15, there's the all new car.......

The '11 Brembo GT is awesome (I've been lucky enough to drive one) so just choose a few tasteful mods and enjoy it

Yeah- keep the terrific car you have already!

Think about how many thousands of dollars you'll LOSE if you trade "up" to the Boss. Now think about how much you could do to the GT with that much money!

Sorry it's not. This has been confirmed by multiple official sources.

This one for example.

Where did you see that the Boss was eligible for X plan? Everything I have heard so far has contradicted that. So just curious if it's true or not is all

EDIT: PTRocks got the link I was looking for. I knew I had seen that list, just couldn't find it

Is strange, because I printed my X plan page, and it included the 2012 BOSS (not sure about the LS, I did not check that one), even I called my dealler and talk about it on the phone. I let you now after my appointment to visit them on Monday.

If I don't trade my '11 GT Brembo probably I will upgrade my suspension (koni shocks+steeda sport springs), and might go after those Recaro seats.

Yes the BOSS is an amazing car (except the brakes).
Based on Laguna Seca lap times, the Boss matches the GT-R and Audi R8 times, that is amazing. I wonder how it will keep up with the Corvette Grand Sport

Maybe for the first lap or two until the s/c started getting hot and pulling all the timing out or worse yet boiling the fluids.......

Trading will be very costly even if the '11 GT was purchased with X-Plan unless it is sold to a private party where the loss would be less.

It might make more sense to wait for the '13 Boss when prices and inventory should be more reasonable. In that case it might be a good idea not to invest on the '11 GT.

I order my Brembo GT way before ford said Hay ! were making Boss 302 now. I when to the trouble to order a 300a GT ,Brembos and 3.73 gears to get the best starting point i could get at the time . Now with the Boss out dose not mater any more . The Boss is the car i was trying to make but i lose to much money now to do the trade in . So iam going to keep on working with what i got . Just doing the springs , shock & struts was a nite to day change in the car .

M3hunter only you can make that chose is the money worth the lost to you to get the Boss 302.

My self i just keep trucking on with my GT hang out here in the Boss part of the board see how the guys are coming along with there cars .

I came up with this look for my car and so far i'am been Dam happy with the car .

I bought a 2001 Cobra months before the Terminators started appearing in publications as the next Cobra. I can feel your pain. That was the last domestic I owned before I ordered my Boss (sold it in 2003).

I would just keep yours. Make the RTR look out of it. Perf wise you can duplicate or even better without worrying about ruining its heritage status. I was seriosly planning on swapping mine for the 2012 GT500 but am going to wait for the 620 HP version in 2013. There will always bee something better but it doesnt make yours bad by any means either.

There are good deals out there for the '11 SVTPP, its performance is more than enough:

That's a relative statement. I have 150 more at the tire than that car and a higher performing suspension but I would still like more/better/lighter

Yes it is.

You seem to be more active on the track than most so your performance upgrades make sense, are effective, and most important, you put them to use. To most the SVTPP is all or more than they need specially if it can be had at invoice.

The Boss upgrades are great, the only drawback is it happens to be the lastest and in demand. That does not make the SVTPP chicken feed.
