A hood here, a cage there, pretty soon you're talking real money Just trying to decide which Mustang's just going to be a track car. Wish the next gen was unveiled so I could either trade away the GT500 for a new daily driver and keep modding the Boss, or just trade the Boss for a 302S

I want to thank Cool Tech for being honest in their findings. Big props to them for this. I will be waiting to hear updates on the oil cooler.
However I am disappointed in the fact that I have to REMOVE part of the front of my car to NOT run hot.... Ford, really???
I will be doing a write-up on my recent track experience. I have 5 track days on the car. Mostly good, but some bad...

But there's a section already in the manual dedicated to the steps needed to track the car. Dot 4 fluid, removing the dust shields, removing the little aero piece in front of the rear wheels, etc. They just missed a step - remove the grill. Silly? Yeah, maybe. It's so easy, however, that I'm over it.
Will report soon on additional oil cooler updates....good, bad, or indifferent!

I was looking at my stock grill from the inside. I have all ready drilled out the fake fogs. Several other areas of the grill are not cut out. The area around the pony badge and the area outside the foglights. I was trying to understand if opening these areas would help increase air flow. The area around the pony badge definately would help. I wasn't sure about the outter sides of the fog lights. After feeling around it seems the area is mostly sealed and forcing the air through the radiator. Except one hole I found with my hand directly behind the outter side driver side fog. It seemed like that opening is the engine air intake port leading to the air filter. After my brief inspection, it seems opening these areas would definately help air flow in. I definitely will use a small Dremmel cutting tool to remove ALL the "fake gill openings". It looks like it could be cut away pretty easily. I have Comp Orange and flat black touch-up paint. I think it can look exactly factory! It clearly won't make a 95 F day a carefree track day. But, it certainly could make a 85 F day a possibility.
Right now I intend to proceed. Any thoughts?

Guys I was at Track Attack today and all the school cars have the stock grilles with the fogs cutout and filled with a screen and all of the blocked areas cutout just like bossdog described. I talked to one of their mechanics that used to work for Shelby and he recommended to do this in the following order as needed for your conditions:
Open stock grille or use some other open metal grille like others have posted
Bigger 302S radiator
Tiger 302S or other vented grille
Air to oil cooler
Remove A/C condenser

Can you take some photos showing the Miller Boss cars grills?
What size screens are they using in the fog openings?
What does the Tiger grill look like?
Confirm Miller cars have no a/c condensers.
Thank you

+1 on the Agent 47 high flow upper grill. I've had mine on my 07 for 4 years and have always seen lower water temps than my OEM grill and other aftermaket grill track companions. Someone in the Boss world, should contact Agent 47 and ask about the possibility of them producing a similar grill, made specifically to fit the Boss. A free flowing grill that doesn't need to be taken out for track use, not only eliminates the hassle of removing the grill at the track, but also affords radiator protection on and off the track!

We will take a look at the Boss to see if there is anything we can do within reason to help out.
We already make a brake cooling kit for it but it's not on our site yet.
