There was a GT500 that ran 1 session at the track today. I guess it was too hot for him. And it was only about 87 degrees

 

Easy fix if you're going to track it, anyway.

And for EVERYONE, these track key threads are like train wrecks... you can't not watch!

For those that are just DYING for track key or the hoped for adrenaline rush, just go do a track day or two and you'll experience a much bigger fun factor I guarantee it. I've driven with track key, it's not the greatest thing in the world. But you can see it from there.

 

lol you got me, so hard to tell, most boss guys are so serious.

 

I'm not getting too worked up about it. It's going to change a bunch of engine parameters and give launch control. Ok great. it's not going to add 50 horses or magically make it a different car. I can wait tll Ford figures a way to get it approved by Carb. Hopefully it won't be too watered down

Bought mine to sit in the garage for the most part.
Pretty much a toy that will do some drag racing and street racing. Maybe an occasional dohnut or two and look really good doing it. Not much for road courses because we are lacking tracks down here. But I'm sure it will do pretty good on the road courses also. It's just a play toy and one of my favorite mustangs of all times. Probably the same reason that some people own tigers. That thing will kill you but it sure is cool.

 

I'm just wondering if any custom tuners have accomplished better results with these cars and was still able to pass emissions. I'm willing to bet they have.

 

Yeah you are probably right, but I'm not betting my warranty against it.

 

But is Ford gonna warranty the car if you blow it up while you were racing it. I'm sure they will be able to tell from PCM data if it was over revved or at least what conditions and key were used when a failure happened. Are they gonna warranty a car that is being raced? Just curious to see.

 

Yes, but the #8 cylinder took a **** on all of them.
