In my case yes I am not using the center latch. I wanted to close off the hole above the radiators so air can't escape there.

Finally got some pictures of my car with the Tiger Racing hood installed. I'm amazed at how much cooler it is under the hood now. At a stop, you can see the heat gushing out the vents. Its kinda trippy actually. Plus, the Tiger Racing hood looks amazing!

Oh, if anyone knows where I can get a BLACK radiator cap WITHOUT any engravings, let me know.

Car looks kinda pink in the sun

Clif the hood looks fantastic. Steeda makes a really nice radiator cap and you can get it plain or with Steeda or Ford engraved on it. It attaches with a set screw over the stock cap so it can be reused if you pop the cap. It only comes in machined aluminum but you could get it power coated. They make a matching one for the oil cap as well.

I have to do that eventually. The OEM oil cap looks ugly through the vents.

That hood looks awesome.
I'd really like to have one, but I'm not driving hard enough to overheat yet.
But they look soooo cool.
Maybe after track rims/tires and a few other goodies.

It just occured to me that "boss man" has violated this thread! Clearly, the title of the thread is BLK/RED.... it doesn't say anything about RED/BLK!

Has anyone painted up this hood for a Performance White Boss? (I'd love to see photos if any out there)

I'm curious what owners of the 302S hood do when you wash your car. Do you cover up the vents? If you have a CAI do you cover the air filter? The hood looks awesome and it's very functional but I'm concerned how practical it is for a car that's going to see 6-8 track days a year.

Great question and credit to Apollo here for coming up with a VERY pragmatic solution for this. Simply stretch a length or two of Road Wrap over thr hood vents before washing and this will keep all of the water out of the engine bay. You can get the Road Wrap at Pep Boys or on-line.

I wash it regularly than wipe the engine down. Been caught in the rain a few times and no issues.

Thanks, I knew there had to be an easy solution.

Is there an issue with getting water in the engine bay? I assume the race cars run rain or shine
