Tiger Racing CF Hood - Black/Red
Go, pioneers, go! Find out all these tips and tricks so it's a no-brainer when I can get one of these hoods myself
It should be done tomorrow. I guess I'm just a little excited. I'm calling it my Christmas present
With no snow still and temps in the low 40s this winter is flying by especially since I can get stuff like this done.

I've been reading about everyones concern about rain and remembered one of the oldest sports cars is still in production, the Morgan Sport.

Check out the factory car cover.......

No point just thought it was neat!

The hood is done. They were going to sandblast the red off the tow hooks so they can powdercoat them black, but it wasn't coming off so they're going to burn it off! Should have them back next week. Anyway, here's the hood. Sorry about the poor cell phone pics and low lighting, they don't do it justice at all. The sun only gets about 20 degrees above the horizon this time of year

I have been thinking that the tiger hood and that new functional low steeda spoiler would look pretty slick together. i like that you can leave the end caps and lip on the spoiler black and pain the body comp orange, would look awesome.

Thanks. They quoted me $500-$600 for the hood. I haven't seen the bills yet, and I'm not sure what they're charging me for the tow hooks to weld, install, cut the bumpers and paint. I'm anxious to get the rings back so I can finish off the front. The rear ring will fold up under the license plate. We used some spacers so the plate would clear the rear bracket. On track days, just pull the plate and go.
FYI, the inside we painted flat black. We originally painted the entire inside orange, but it looked terrible on the rough portion of fiberglass. Now that it's flat, it looks killer. You don't even notice the imperfections. It actually looks a lot like the hood blanket did.

Looks awesome Gary. I assure you that I would get the hell out of the way if I saw that in my rear view!
Thanks Jason! Yours still looks the best! I'll be a little closer to the 302S when I burn up the Hoosiers on my 302S wheels and make them my street wheels.
Thanks
All of these were according to my bathroom scale:
These latest mods are about a wash:
Roll bar, mounts & harness bar +69 lbs.
Rear seat delete kit +12 lbs.
Remove rear seats and belts and factory mounts -54 lbs
Swap to the Tiger Hood -17 lbs.
Remove washer bottle -8 lbs. (incl fluid)
Remove flat repair kit -7 lbs.
Net of all the above is - 5lbs.
Previously I did the following:
Enkei PF01 wheels/Nitto Tires:
Front 59 stock vs 42 - 17 lbs each x 2 = 34 lbs
Rear 60.5 stock vs 47.5 - 13 lbs each x 2 = 26 lbs
DBA 5000 front rotors 28 stock vs 20 - 8lbs each x 2 = 16 lbs
Corsa Extreme axle backs (pair) 56 lbs stock vs 24 lbs = 32 lbs.
Total weight savings so far is 113 lbs and 76 of that is rotating mass which gives a bigger benefit.
Thanks

I've had it on over a month now and I pressure wash my engine every car wash. With no issues. And this is my daily that sits outside the garage. On that note I have seen some louvered hood designs with a catch slide for the streets. Namely the Japanese hoods. I'll find an example and post it up
