Suspension setting for Street use

I'm assuming the car comes set to the softest suspension setting 5/5? What is the best balance of comfort and performance for the street?

5 is the stiffest. From the factory it is set at 2.

I have mine at 1. Roads here are bumpy.

Can you really 'feel' the difference between 1 & 2 at normal street driving speeds?

Have mine set to 5 all around, love it! Roads vary here, but it doesn't bother me on the rougher roads at all.

I thought there was a Boss 302 supplemental guide that mentioned recommendations for the settings, at least for the 2012s.

Recommendations were for track use - on the regular boss Ford says go with 5 all around for performance driving. I am currently at setting 4 for my street driving.

i have mine at 3.5 front, 3.0 in the rear. someone said that you want the back a little loose but who knows...i really dont...it doesnt do to bad. only thing i noticed was its harder to break the tires loose with the 3.5, 3.0 setting than when the factory 2.0 was set. does this make sense? i want a decent ride but also want the handling too...

My experience on the track is that 5 rear is too much for anything but a flat autoX track. On the bigger tracks with elevation changes, 5F/4R is perfect. On the street, 3/3 is enough to have fun, but not feel every bump. I haven't replaced the suspension components, so stock.

Thanks for the input everyone. I went to adjust them and saw they were on 2 from the factory. I'm going to try 4 first and see how that goes.

Mine set at 5/5. Firm but not uncomfortable INMHO.

What would be the best setting for drag racing on stock tires?

Excellent question.

Just so I am not post whoring, I've got mine set on 3F/2R. Might sound silly but it seems to ride a lot better.

Does my question sound dumb though? cause it does not stop when you turn the dial? im just wondering if the shock has memory built in or what? like how does it know you passed 5 and went back to 1?

If I had to guess, I'd say you're probably just rotating a disc with various size openings that controls how far the shock can compress by a small amount. Just a guess though.

I had that same question. It will rotate around and around just fine.
