Price of a 2012 ls

Hi everyone,
I'm considering purchasing a used 2012 boss ls. What is a good price? I have one dealership that is telling me 53k with almost 1000 miles on it is the price. From what I've seen a new one can be purchased for that. I want the car for fun and for the rarity of it. Anyone think the ls will be a future collectable? Also, Black vs the silver. Only 124 silvers were made in 12. Is the silver a better bet for retaining value?
Thanks.

Sticker new is $48,xxx, many people, including myself, paid sticker or less.

As a matter of fact, a friend of mine paid $1500 under sticker, and got the dealer to throw in the track key programmed, another $400 value.

Only 150 silver/red were made, will they be worth more ? Sure, in about 25 years.

Get the car, enjoy it now, and don't pay a dime over $45K. The 13's are flooding the market, and many people want the new colors, making the 12's already yesterdays news.

Is there a collectible Mustang you want from past 5yrs? 20yrs?
I bet its from 64 1/2 thru 69....and will stay true for next 20yrs.
I see the only reason to make our Boss collectible in the future: no more V8's AND future HP & TQ to drop....like in the 70's...might happen but I'm enjoy mine today....

The Laguna Seca will be a collectible in the future if you hold to it for another 20 or 30 years but not if you want to sell it 10 years or so. If you buy it just drive it like it should be don't sit on it and keep it in the **** garage hoping that at some point you can sell it for more money.

I'm definitely going to drive it. It will be garaged like my current gt. I would intend on keeping it or the long term.

Hell, I'll sell you mine for well under what they're asking. Trackey equipped garage queen with the transmission cooling scoop and brake ducts installed. I never drive the **** thing and I'm almost definitely buying another Porsche 911 soon and need the room.

I'm located in Delaware. Mine has 6000 miles, 3200 are from driving it from Arizona where I bought it.

When you say "flooding the market" what do you mean? Only 750 LS cars will be made for MY 2013. I would guess many are retail orders leaving only a few (relatively speaking) unsold on dealer lots.

I agree with a previous post though, 45k for a used '12 is about where you should be. I'm getting my '13 for sticker and after seeing other deals people are getting I'm second guessing my deal.

As for the color, it won't matter, not during the time you will hold on to it and since it wasn't a desirable color it may be harder to sell when the time is right. That said, if you like it, buy it. Just don't pay more than 45k.

I was speaking more in terms of more and more 13's both Boss and LS are being built and showing up every day, making the leftover or slightly used 12's yesterday's flavor of the day.

Steal it. Strip it. Sell it for parts.

Buy stocks if you want an investment, other wise leave it alone for someone who will drive it and truly enjoy it.

Stocks are unpredictable and so are cars. It was a consideration for the purpose of driving and also having a desirable car for collectors Inthe future if I chose to part with it. If I'm going to make payments, I'd rather have a that car retained some of its value than a car that's worth nothing when it's all said and done. Don't worry about my driving, I put almost as many miles on my current mustang in A year thank the previous owner did in 6.
