Stretchy belt
Stretchy belt
I happened to go the the Ford Service center today to get rid of some old 2 cycle fuel and had a conversation with my service advisor regarding belt slap. He mentioned that there had been a few gt's that came in with the belt being loose.
They have to add a tensioner and idler to accomodate this issue.(front cover has to be replaced). The reasoning for this happening is because the belt has to be stretched to allow it to be installed. The later 2012 engines have the tensioners and ilders already.
Has anyone had to have this done?
