Stock OEM shifter HANDLE?

A question to all those who have taken out your stock shifters AND others that seen the shifter handle up close:

Can I REMOVE the stock shifter handle ONLY?
...and replace it with a hurst/steeda/other HANDLE?

Yes,
Use a heat gun and wrap your boot in aluminum foil so it does not damage the leather. after about 5-10 minutes of heat use a stap type oil wrench (either rubber or a nylon material) to loosen the ****.

HURST #538-7201 CHROME PLATED STEEL SHIFTER STICK

Hurst 5387201 / 2387201 Replacement Shifter Stick
Photo is Representation, Specs Image is correct
6-3/8" Long
Chrome Plated Steel
Hurst “bolt-on” shifter sticks are ideal for use in custom applications where a particular height or offset is required. These shifter sticks are constructed from high strength steel and are stamped with the Hurst name. All sticks incorporate a 3/8-16 thread size for use with many popular Hurst T-handles and shifter *****. Bolthole size is 3/8” I.D. with 7/8” center-to-center spacing.

I can understand wanting a cool look and better feel than the stock shifter. But if you are going through all that trouble you may want to consider at least an upgraded Barton shifter bracket, or shifters like Steeda, or if you want to go all in, an MGW... I have an MGW on order for my '13 Boss.

When I was shopping around, I looked at the MGW videos and was surprised how junky and cheap the stock unit looks.

I have the hurst and absolutely love it! I deff recommend doing the entire swap instead of just the handle. When I get home tmrw, I can take pictures of the stock shifter I still have it.
