The beauty of a GT500 is in the stuff you dont have to worry about like grenading the clutch, MT82 or Torsen and having a cooling system that can handle 700+ hp in blistering heat and so on.

The roadrunner can make serious power for sure and Ford may have even envisioned people making stupid power on the motor (like your 800+ at the crank) but one thing is for sure, the rest of your car was screwed together with 444hp in mind.
Pretty much sums it up Bob. Get ready for a lot more upgrades to handle that power if you intend to put it to use.

For brakes I have the FRPP brake duct kit. And I am working with Sam Strano on suspension...most likely Steeda comps and his adjustable rear bar. I will be getting a set of 18's and r comps for the street (only drive 2,000 a year if that)

It's amazing how tractable the power is...just like stock but with HUGE torque and screams till 7500 RPMS!!

BTW I need a set of gt500 mufflers now as the S types are extremely loud (almost painful) with the supercharger
pm me if you want to get rid of the S-types. I assume axle backs.

Dave

2006stiguy - Congrats! I really respect pioneers!

What do you plan to do with the car? 1/4mile, road courses, just street stuff?

Sounds like a fun ride and it is always great to have something unique - if only for a little while! (That's the trouble with good results. Others will follow.)

Shane the KB was their idea...but we had talked about centri/vs twin srew in the past and all agreed the Boss breathes so well up high that a huge bottow end would be awesome. I also love the fact that the KB is silent at idle yet above 4500rpms it screams. The car detuned now is still a handfull but not so much that you can't use 3rd on the street. The best part is 4th or 5th gear no longer needs a downshift...its really a torque monster with the high rpm capabilities of the Roadrunner up high!

you running it at 11psi on the street then? did they give you any thoughts on what they thought you would see with an upgraded fuel system? I'm very curious to know what they think the max power for the boss is without killing things. i'd also like to see what power a serious tuner like lund and a gaggle of all the bolt ons that can be mustered could do staying NA with no n02.

BTW I took the car out for a rally nice drive yesterday. The weather was cool and it was unreal how hard it pulled in all the gears. I also took some twisties in 4th and it was super tractable...yet super fast!!
