Nice pictures Scott.

I like how you picked the same angles for comparison.

Just my opinion, but PACETTR's look a gajillion times better. The others look too large and make a drastic change in the profile of the mustang and make it look like it is half stegosaurus.

Being a pilot (retired) I'm thinking that louvers will disturb the airflow over the roof and create a low pressure area ahead of the rear spoiler that will create lift, negating downforce from the spoiler. Think I'd rather keep my rear wheels firmly planted and tint the rear glass, IMO.

At what speed does the stock rear spoiler on the base or LS model start to exhibit any downforce w/o louvers? 100? 120? 130? I would think most owners wanting these would be for street driven cars w/no track events? If they are indeed removable you could obviously simply remove them for a track day. Right?

Not to mention the fact that the louvers creating a low pressure area is a huge assumption. More likely to reduce a small amount of airflow directly impacting the spoiler or causing slightly more turbulent air over the spoiler if anything.

Much like the "scoops cause drag" argument, the speeds, even track speeds, you'll be driving will not be enough to make a huge difference with louvers or scoops.

I apologize up front for "Dredging up" old treads, but I just got interested in finishing this project of mine up with some Louvers.
Scott, thanks a ton for running this, even though the thread was a bit old.
To all, is MRT direct the best bet to purchase these guys? At $480.00, it is going to put quite a dent in the 'ole wallet. I wrote to them in regards to a Military discount, but no reply. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there any other aluminum louvers for Mustangs?

I love the look but there does not seem to be a lot of information on them?

I bought mine from Summitt last year and love them. They were on clearence for a little over $300.00. Aluminun with no rattles or squeeks or any other problem's.
I had them on my 70 and here in Oklahoma you really need to block the sun.
