Sat in Kona Blue at my local dealer.
Yesterday I checked out my local dealer's inventory online and noticed they had a Kona Blue 302 listed. So on my way to work I stopped to see if I could get a look at it. The showroom was locked but I could see the Boss through the window.
I found someone that worked there and mentioned that I ordered their Q2 allocation and wondered if I could check out the one on the floor. The guy was more than accommodating, he let me in, and went to get the keys so I could sit in it. While he was gone I checked out the engine and saw that the build number was 0015. That's the lowest I've seen on the boards yet.
When he returned with the keys he unlocked the car so I could sit it in and then handed me the keys and said "start it up". After picking my jaw up from the floor I put it in neutral, depressed the clutch and turned the key. Talk about an emotional moment. The engine turned over and settled into an idle. What a beautiful sound. I lightly blipped the throttle a couple of times and I was grinning like a schoolboy during Christmas. It's not very loud (granted, I didn't open it up all the way) but it sure sounds nice.
It looks like its available, the only problem is they want $3k ADM on it. Luckily I'm paying MSRP for mine.
If anyone's interested its at 5 Start Ford in Plano, TX.

So is it safe to say that since the engine numbers begin 00 as in "0015", no more than 9999 units will be built in the two year run? Yes, I know it has been stated 3500/500LS, 3250/750LS, etc., but the 4 digit number sort of confirms a maximum of 9999.
Thoughts?

As their "current plan" I would say that is correct. But if they decide to make a bunch more for whatever reason, I also don't see them saying "well, the engine number only has 4 digits on it currently, so we can't make any more...time to shut it down boys" just because of the current 4 digit configuration. It's not that hard to etch another digit into a piece of metal.

Good to hear, the vin is 869 and is no. 15. The build date was 2/16 and blend was 1950.
I have build date of 2/15 VIN 572 and a lower blend of 1659. Hopefully I will be in the top 10.
Don't know what MustangFanatic build or blend was?
Car should be in tomorrow.
