RWHP?

I have seen 20-35 hp gain for headers and no cats. Has anyone dynoed a car with CAI, Headers, Off road H or X and Tune?
Just wondering if it will be near 450 rwhp with all these mods?

My car dyno'd 366 rwhp in April 2011with about 400 miles on her stock on a Mustang Dyno, with a Lund Tune, Magnaflow o/r x pipe, Borlas S axle back, and JLT Intake the car made 400.6 RWHP. Keep in mind this was a Mustang dyno and even though dynos numbers are BS for comparing to other dynos, the Mustang reads low. Also the tq was over 30 lbft better peak but was almost 45lbs better under 4200 RPM. The power UNDER the curve disregarding the peaks was unbelievable! It felt like it made 50 more hp and 75 more lbft tq down low. The driving experience was totally different

BTW these cars make even more poer as the miles pour on

oh and we figure about 15/20 rwhp peak with long tube headers. So approx 425 RWHP on a mustang dyno or about 440-450 on a dynojet

January issue of MM&FF. They did a feature on a full bolt-on Boss.

Baseline: 380 rwhp

CAI/Tune/Headers/OR-X/Axleback: 440 rwhp

Gain: 60 rwhp

Very Nice!
Who out there has the best deal on this package? CAI Catless X kooks or AR headers and sct tuner
I'm not trying to start a vendor war, just wondering who would have the best price/service for these mods.

I'm sure the Cooltech setup from Kooks + the Steeda CAI and tune would show very similar gains.

Personally, I'm waiting until the aftermarket cracks Track Key before I tune mine.

makes sense for the numbers then...dynojet reads higher than a mustang dyno...but again different dyno comparisons are useless anyway. same car, same day, same dyno, and different mods is all that matters

I just dug up that issue of the magazine. They used Kooks headers and OR x-pipe, Magnaflow exhaust, JLT CAI, and an AM tune. I'm sure other vendors will be similar results. The nice thing about the Kooks setup is you have an H-pipe and it keeps your factory side exhausts.

60 more whp on these cars would feel pretty great. I'm still impressed how good they pull stock but I often reminisce about my Kenne Bell Terminator and lust for more power for the Boss. I know when my first Terminator got pullied/tuned and made 446/470 I was pretty certain it was the fastest car in the world. 440whp in the Boss would be pretty impressive.

Add in a set of cams and we could be looking at +/- 500 RWHP at 7500 rpm's that would be a sick car!
I have always liked N/A over forced induction.....It's lighter and reliable.

I'm sure comp cams makes a set. I read an artical where they installed a few different cams on a boss. I don't remember which cam company they used. They are out there for sure though.
