Recaros for regular Boss or just Boss R?
Recaros for regular Boss or just Boss R?
On the regular Boss 302 video, they show the recaros with the holes in the headrest, like on the Laguna Seca, but everywhere else,it looks like the regular Mustang seats but with Boss 302 on the headrests. Which is which? Are the recaros optional for the regular Boss?
Exactly. They are optional. So is the Torsen diff.
Get the Recaros if you're going to drive it on the street primarily...if you're actually going to track it, just get the base seats then replace 'em with a Sparco Circuit Pro in the driver's seat and "nothing" in the passenger seat area.
Looks like the base seats are covered in suede too, which should improve their grip considerably.

Isn't the Torsen diff, that setup with the counter-rotation gears, that locks the axles together?
I have heard that it can"t stand up to drag type launches.
Why not the, anvil like, Detroit Locker? Although it does give a little torque steer in corners, when off and on the throttle.

Because it's not a drag-race car.
Then for those who don't want to really use it for the track all that much I would think this would be an option they should pass on. If you're looking for a little stop light racing the standard diff. 302 would probably be a better choice.
I have no plans for tracking the BOSS 302, just fun around town.
Having not owned or driven a car with Recaro's, will they be uncomfortable for long drives/trips and for that matter every day city driving?
Do Recaro's make it harder to get it and out of the vehicle, won't the bolsters wear out or look like crap from entering/exiting the vehicle over a shorter time frame than regular Mustang seats?
Torsen for street, does that make sense, if (in my case) not planning on tracking the BOSS or does it provide more control and longevity over stock?
