Shocks set on 5 all the way around. Yep, leans like a fully-laden trawler returning from a day's catch. It felt great, but I'm sure we track people will get all of this sorted.
Cracked lens?
Yeah, hate the front license plate. Ugh.

Well at least it doesn't "feel" like a trawler on the track. I just didn't realize there was that much roll. In fact my friend with a 5.0 commented that when he was behind me after I passed him he didn't notice much roll at all, but it looked like there was from a couple photos of the event. Weird.

After a week of meeting hundreds of great people and their rides, I got home with 2300 miles on the Boss. First, I would like to thank my good friend, Stngfever, who drove way out of his way from MI to Milwaukee to pick me and my daughter up at the airport for the ride to the dealer to pick up the Boss. After taking delivery we sure turned a lot of heads driving together with his awesome black Shelby SGT heading towards Indy to hook up with the Hot Rod Power Tour. We later teamed up with Rick and his supercharged Roush and that's when we started tearing up the roads and the fun began.
Ok, here we go and it's not good for the GT500 guys. The first thing I noticed was how light the front of the Boss felt, the GT500 is much more nose heavy, so the Boss has much better balance. Taking on Camaros and other supercharged cars, the Boss won because it could put the power on the ground. I did not have to work at not spinning the tires at launch. Bottom line is, I would take the Boss over a GT500 just because of its handling which makes it a safer Hot Rodder and you can relaxed more and enjoy watching Camaros in the rear view mirror.
I was amazed to see so many California cars. A great group of people from Spectre Performance shipped many of their fine track cars for this event.
I will be looking forward to next year's Power Tour which will end in Dallas.
BTW... The Shelby and Roush (sorry Scott and Rick) were no match for the Boss.

It was a 45 year dream come true, had a blast. Yes, Joel, from Alabama with a Yellow Blaze was the only other Boss on the tour. He couldn't hold back at the GM test facility and made several high acceleration runs and some road course turns. The GM guys were not impressed and gave him a hard time after the runs. He got to show off his Boss at the GM facility but had to pay a price. He later said '' how cool was that?".

Gave the BOSS her first wax job yesterday. Enjoy. Have a great Independence Day, too!
