Reclaiming my #

Here are some shots from BIR. I usually run as #9, but since it was a PCA event and the GT3 that "owned" #9 was there, I had to run as #6. Here are some shots shortly before passing #9. We chased down the front straight passing about half dozen cars before I eventually got by him between turns 3 and 4. We both got a late point by from Mr. M3 "MOVOVR" and drove the track marbles on the high side of Turn 1 at 140 A friend following in an older M3 said it looked like it was going to be carnage

Nice. You need to talk to Harley about having a custom decal made for you. You should mount it on the front of the hood and backwards like you see on an ambulance so when you pull up to pass someone they will know to MOVOVR for you immediately. It should read:

TUO TALF

Now that is funny. The thing is, there's always someone faster. Putting MOVOVR on your plate is just asking for I'll pass on putting a target on my back (or hood)

Actually it should read

TUO TALF (but the L & F should be mirror images)

Maybe the Porsche thought the Boss was #9 coming by upside down

I have to admit that after I posted my response, I held it up to the mirror to be certain I got it right. And if you were typing yours on a phone, that is plenty excuse for transposing letters

I'll be in Italy for three years. Not even there yet though. I'm in Georgia going through Airborne school right now. The car is suppose to be there on Friday and I fly in on Tuesday. Hopefully she'll be there waiting for me. She's been on her cruise for a month and a half now.

Good point, it really does show. I have been mainly going off tire wear, more so than temps. Since we usually run a full cool down and it's 3.1 miles, tire temps have cooled significantly by the time you're back to the paddock. I've actually seen slightly higher inside edge temps, but that may be from running the cool down lap at low speed running on the inside edges. My tire wear at -2.2 has been very even, although it might not hurt to try -2.3 to -2.5. I still occasionally roll over the outside edges but that's more my fault for getting too antsy.

The MM c/c plates are less than half of your air to oil cooler! Plus you might get it back in increased tire life That's how I justified it to the "Boss".

My "Boss" just saw the CC bill for brake pads I'll have to see if Terry @ Vorshlag can sneak in some C/C plates under the guise of childcare or something

If it's any consolation, if you got Hawk DTCs or PFC01s, they will last a long time...

Funny, that was my wife's favorite too and the photographer apparently has it in his "favorites" folder....wife found it, not sure where. She says "looks like you're concentrating on your driving"
