I was hoping that 2012 Boss owners that had Q3 builds last year can post the dates they got their VIN, when it was built, shipped and finally delivered? I read all the ramp 51 horror stories last year, and am aware of the current hold due to the stripe issue.

I realize this year's production run has no correlation to 2012, but was hoping for a ballpark guestimate... My dealer told me that their stock gets shipped by rail to a location in MA (Ayer?), and then transported by truck for the last leg.

Never did I think last year that I would be able to 'agonize' about the delivery of my own Boss Mustang this year. Right after I sold my G37S that I hated because of the grabby clutch, my wife's hours at work got cut in half and then down to zero for a month, ouch (thx to a cancelled govt defense contract). But wow what a difference a year makes. She just got a great new job with a raise and I'm hoping to be getting a new position too.

I'm sure the next 5 months will fly by, but the last 5 weeks will drag. =/

 

My car was a second qtr car that got bumped to fourth qtr.

Then all of a sudden, the dealer calls me second week of August, says my car got pulled forward, had my VIN, and it was built the Wed after Labor Day, and arrived EXACTLY four weeks later to the day, first week of Oct.

So it ended up being a third qtr car.

Don't try to follow it after it's built, you'll go crazy trying to figure it out or get a straight answer, just plan on 3 - 4 weeks.
