Greetings all ... been years since i posted.

I have made inquires to a few Cali dealerships on Production Numbers and Cost. Of course they do not know but the initial feedback was concerning ( again this needs to be verified )

- 50 cars only
- 75K for Boss, 120K for LS version

Yes those are far fetched and completely unverified and at that rate, if true ... i will sadly pass on the car. I believe most of us do not have the bank to compete with deep pocket investors. However if the car is priced around the GT 500 ( at a fair MSRP level ) then i am game.

I am curious to see if anyone here has made in inquires of their own...

Actually, yes, that's correct. The salesperson is talking about a competition car, totally other car altogether.

 

This early in the going the dealers and salesmen are the LEAST KNOWING people out there. The internet is weeks and sometimes months ahead of them. Believe it or not these guys generally don't have any interest in searching the net to learn more about potential new products, etc. They aren't like us.

Just wait until Ford does their official press release for the Boss 302 production numbers and pricing, and don't worry about contacting a dealer- unless you're looking to get your name on a waiting list for the car.

 

Ford execs have already stated that they will build as many as the public demands! The interviews are on the web.

 

I am good with waiting; i forgot about the 302R. Hopefully there will be healthy production numbers. Maybe by the end of this year something official will be posted. As far as I know, for this specific dealer in so cal, i am the only one who asked them about a pre order.

 

I sure hope that's true, as I would love to buy one, but I seriously doubt that production will be unlimited.

 

LOL, they say that about the GT500 then limit production the last two years....

 

ha ha ha! if the Boss 302 and 302 LS are really as limited as the allocation scheme suggests, with the inevitable ADM, these cars may very well be tagged at the prices of the FR500S/Boss 302R race cars

 

How was the production limited the last 2 years? The 2,000 in 2010 only was dealer hype BS and 5,500 in 2011 will be about 15% of the mustangs built this year which the SVT Cobra and Shelby #'s have always been. The 2011 GT500 is not hard to find, 4 delears within 50 miles of me each have each.

 

My 2 local dealers have 6 GT500's each sitting on there lots.

 

i only saw one gt500 2011 and no 10 so they are pretty scarce. i should go/see those at your dealer and drool over them. they are fantastic. & one of a kind.

 

I took a couple of 011's out for a test drive and they handle very well and have lot's of power. Ford is discounting them at the moment. 4k off of sticker.
