Potential Boss 302 Comp Orange/Black available

I was talking to my dealer tonight about status on the track wheels we both ordered for our Mustangs and he told me about a Boss that may be available without a buyer. He was told by a customer he just sold a GT500 to that McCormick Motors in Salem, SD received an allocation, but doesn't have a buyer for it. Its a small, rural dealer so they don't have much of a Mustang market. Since they had to place the order, they ordered it in CO/BK with the Recaros/Torsen. I have not verified it since I already have one on order, but thought I would post it up for those still looking.

I thought I would email them just for the fun of it. This is the response that I got.

We have ordered a Competition Orange with the Boss Recaro Seat
package and The Boss car cover. The MSRP is $43500 and we will be asking for
bids well above that. Thank you, Mike McCormick

So, good luck with that is what I say. Looks like they are trying to turn a good profit off the car.

Typical small town dealer that ends up with what they think is a tiger by the tail. "we will be asking for bids well above that" What does that even mean? You don't "ask" for bids unless you're conducting an auction. I doubt that many of the local area farmers will show up for it....it's not like auctioning off a combine. It will probably end up on eBay at some point. Anyway, I won't be surprised to see that car show up at my dealer in Sioux Falls late this fall when it hasn't sold.

I'd buy it from them, but I'm not going to pay over MSRP. I already have 2 local dealers willing to set me up with them at MSRP, not sure what Mike thinks they are going to pull off.
