Question Ownership Ratio: LS VS Standard Boss?

Just curious what the ratio of standard boss are on here vs the LS.

Now vote in the POLL ONLY if you own either of the two. Please do not vote in the poll if you do not own either car, or even about to buy one. If you have already ordered one of either that's fine, you may vote. But please refrain from voting if you do not have either of the two at the moment.

Now.. After you give your answer as to which one you own, I would like to know 2 things if you don't mind. A simple yes or no is fine.
Did you pay more than retail on the LS package to get the package Yes or No?
Example, Yes I paid more than retail to get the LS package, or No I did not pay more than retail to obtain the LS package. I don't care how much you paid, I am curious if you paid OVER sticker or not, just for the LS models only, not the base models.

The second question in your reply is this. Do you think the package is worth the extra $6500 that the Manf is charging for the package, and why you think it is worth the $6500 or why you Don't think the package is worth the extra money. Got it? Please keep the flames to a minimum.

Own a Laguna Seca. I paid MSRP. I don't think it's worth the premium strictly based on value but I would buy it again anyway.

Bought the regular Boss, intended on buying the LS,salesman told me msrp but when I got to dealership they wanted $5,000 more,

I felt it was worth the MSRP over the standard Boss, not for the extra options but for the SPECIAL part it is..

I feel like I live in bizarro world. I found nothing but markups on standard Bosses but came across two Laguna Secas at MSRP. I ended up giving my deposit on the second one to a friend.

I own the standard boss. I believe the ls model is worth the price because some of the extras you recieve that i think is cheaper then if you paid for the things seperate

Lets see:
http://www.cjponyparts.com/ford-raci...ine/p/M4204MB/

Differential $926.95

wheels: 2012 MUSTANG BOSS 302S WHEELS BLACK WITH MACHINE FACE - SET OF 4

$949

Seats:

$2,000 from ford..
Total
$3875.....

So you would save about $2,625 buying separate.
Money is money! Would be easy to install these for $2,600!

I wont count the rear seat delete or the X brace because most will install a roll bar anyway...
Brake ducts? How hard could that be?

Well I forgot one...
The LS spoiler....
so in the end I guess money wise it would be wash....
so I guess its about right if you want the extra stuff....

LS, paid sticker, waited almost a year to get it.

Is it worth the difference over a base base ?

To me it was, as I seem to be leaning towards low number cars.

My 93 Cobra is 1 of 802 teal with grey leather, my R is #76 of 300, and now my Laguna Seca is one of 151 silver/red.

and the Marauder, while not a low production, (11,000 made), it is still not a car you see everyday.

.
I been wanting a Boss 302 for the past 42 years, I was 15 when the first Boss was sold and by time I was driving and could by one; the first Arab oil embargo turned the muscle car era on its back. So I always wanted a first generation but the timing was never right for one.

Now the time was right; but I am stubborn and frugal and refused to pay a premium or MSRP, I wanted an LS for under sticker, so my quest to purchase one met many dead ends.

Right after Christmas I found an odd Silver LS that was order without floor mats of car cover for more than $1k under sticker. Flew to Florida on Monday drove 1050 miles home and was in my drive way 26 hours after I left the day before.

Was the cost of the LS worth it? Hard to say. No if you had to pay over MSRP.

Bought the LS. Paid sticker. Obviously I thought it was worth the extra or I would have bought CO/black. Adding the extras to a regualar Boss adds up. Front splitter with bracket and supports is around $800, Going to wider wheels and tires at least $2k. Stiffer suspension another $300. Rear seat delete with cross brace, tranny cooler, and brake ducts add even more. But what really did it for me was the rarity. I really didn't want a black car but between that and silver it was a no brainer.

I would love to see photographs of your Rs if you are willing. I always had a huge crush on both your generations of the car.
