ok. who's buying a new Shelby here?

Very nice combo. A base car is just not right. This car should be optioned. PP,TP and Recaros at the least. You can always get new rims and tires if desired. For those who do not like the PP rims...

I actually wanted MY car to have the same power but have more creature comforts...ie: leather recaros, heated seats, HIDS, nva, etc...so I am very close to closing the deal on a gray no stripe GT500 with PP
wish me luck!

I actually decided to skip the 2013 GT500 for now and go with the Boss instead. I know the GT500 will have a few issues so I'll let some of the bugs get worked out first while I enjoy the Boss. Plus the market will have soften by then making better deals possible.

My dealer gave me the same offer on either car and kept sending me updates about ordering both vehicles. When his Boss was allocated for the 2nd quarter I jumped on that, Grabber Blue w/Rec and Tors, just like BPs, Congrats by the way.
Other than the time element the main problem is the price difference between my Boss, and my potential GT500. If I bought a GT500, I would have to get everything, including the Glass Roof (I love that), leather Recaro seats, ep, tp, pp. On the Boss I have no choices cept the seats....Huge difference in price.
Other issue is I think the 662 horsepower may be too much for a daily driver, at least for me. I drive really fast and always have, not that the Boss is slow. Also, I think the Boss is much more useful power, for me anyway. As well as living in South Fla, the last thing I want to deal with is any heat soak issues.

Would I have both if money was no consideration? Um, duh.
Would I rather have the Shelby over the BOSS? No thanks.
I've been doing forced induction for years, looking forward to a going NA and more balanced. I'm sure in 5 years I'll be wanting to go back the other direction.

I agree with everyone who has said they would prefer the Boss, that's why I chose the Boss. I am so excited about this new Shelby, I had to ask. I am considering a 2014, just trying to budget/plan ahead. Great time for Mustang fans.

When I was trying to get a Boss here they had an allocation for a GT500 come available, just could bring myself to spend the extra $$$$ and they didn't want to work much. Very pleased with my purchase though, can't wait to get it on the Ring!
