I haven't seen Randy Pobst post a time in the Boss at SOW yet. He had a 1:23.48 in a 2011 GT500. Where did you see the 1:22?

Funny you should ask I was just trying to figure that out last night. I no longer have the video on my phone but try this:

select More in the bottom right hand of the screen
select Lap List
select a lap
scroll to the bottom and select Overlay
select Overlay again

Let me know if that works.

 

That works. Was gonna post the sequence but got distracted.

 

You should try Buttonwillow, too. It's my favorite of the SoCal tracks by a large margin. In fact, it is right up there with VIR (I used to be an east-coaster) as my favorite track. Great course design that plays to both horsepower and handling.

 

I've tried it once in my z4M with no instruction or apex cones...was sooo lost. I'll definitely go again. Want to come out?

 

Watkins Glen 1st time driving the track, long course with Bus Stop; 2:18.37 best time 4th session. Will be back! Along with VIR, Road America and Laguna Seca the backbone of US sports car racing.

I'll bring the LS all the way up there and all you have to do is bring the GT..... I know, I know.... I am offering a lot here but it would be my pleasure. Anything to help out a buddy that helped me....

Tried it last night .Keep getting corrupt file.

 

Thats a good 1st time lap.The Glen is a blast .I generally go there a few times a year .We could defiantly do a Glen event too.

 

No, wish I could but just don't have the funds to ship it both ways cross country, car rental usually costs us $700 or so and shipping is about $1k each way, can't justify it to my crew chief (St Leslie) as the car and events soaks up a lot of mad money around here. Will probably rent a V6 vert or a Hertz prestige collection Jaguar for the week and terrorize Cal Highway 1 down to Big Sur. Laguna Historics is another bucket list event for any car guy, the cars and people you meet there in the really relaxed atmosphere is car heaven, with Shelby 50th anniversary being the featured marque it will be Ford Heaven! Also the area, food, weather and roads are just perfect, highly recommended!

the NHRA Museum is putting on? a 50th Anniversary of the AC CobraMajor Event at the Los Angeles Fairgrounds next April 20th & 21st

 

The Shelby Cobra will be the featured manufacturer for the Monterey Historic Races in August 2012.

Rick is going to meet me at the Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca this August 17-19th. This year Shelby Cobra 50th Anniversary is the feature marque. Come out and join us!!! This will be my 7th time there, the paddock is unbelieveable, the racing is for real and the weather and location is second to none (bring a jacket in the early AM). I was there in '10 when the Boss was unveiled, have a special release press kit that they gave out, there was a Kona and a Silver LS and also a '69 Boss 302 in Candy Red that they had for comparison. I spoke with Jamie Allison and some of the Boss Team trying to convince them to release all the options for the car but they said the Boss was going to be as pure as they could offer, they wanted A/C delete and roll downs as an option but the Brass would let them put it in the program. Guess that's what the 302S is for.
