Like my 2012 Race Red car with the black roof and '69 style stripes. But really wish I could afford to add a School Bus Yellow '13 LS to my collection to match with my 70 Grabber Orange Boss. Come on Santa, little help

I think the 2013 Boss looks great
Now the greedy ford dealers will all be puzzled,
why their 2012 Boss @ MSRP not not going to sell....
and production is not over AND USED Bosses are showing up on ebay & Auto Trader
I smell discounts coming on 2012 Boss
Anyone know dealer invoice is on a 2012 Boss (not MSRP)

I've liked orange cars since I could push my Matchbox cars. I've always made fun of my wife for being so particular about the color choices of our new cars. However, when I saw Competition Orange, I was hooked.

The 2013 Boss is a great looking car and I am so glad they made our 2012 cars so unique. I personally prefer the overall appearance of the ’12 and I cannot believe I am saying that I have gotten rather fond of my black roof on my Race Red car. However, I would like to have the lower grill, which I never understood why it was omitted in the first place. Gary’s first cooling mod took care of the blocked out fog lights on the ’12. No buyer’s remorse from this 2012 Boss owner but of course I am biased.

Please Ford, no Mustangs in CO and I won't be pissed if you use it on a Focus, just disappointed :-$

Scott, like Rick I like the look of the 05-09 also. It is not about the Shelby look just the look in general, just not feeling it. It's too bad they could not flatten out the hood so the entire 70 stripe would have worked, the 70 Boss had the best stripe package of any car ever built. The stripes on this are just incomplete but there are many other nice improvements like the roof being body color.

Another thing to consider is all the original development work was done on 2010 GT which looks like the 2012 Boss. So the documentary and original photos are going to look like the 2012. What does this mean? I have no idea.

That GT500 looks awfully inviting..........

Ok, now I think I get it with the hood stripes. The LS gets the '70 race car version while the non-LS Boss gets the '70 street car version? Cool. Now if I could just find a dealer who would sell me a base '13 in GB at MSRP...

About those fog light openings...I know the "plugs" can be removed for extra cooling at the track but would it be possible to add the actual lights? Or is that another difference between the LS and the regular Boss? I.E. does the regular Boss come with fogs while the LS has them blanked off? Which leads to the next question...when will we see pics and specs of the regular Boss 302?

2 questions remain for me on the L.S.
1) Why the gauge delete? (I know there are track apps now, but what about the other gauge info?)
2) How to wax the thing with the reflective stripes.

CO rules!
I am also a Competition Orange fan. Not only is beautiful, but I love that it is the only 2012 color exclusive to the Boss. The Grabber Blue for 2013 should look nice, and so does the School Bus Yellow LS. As several people have said "Take your pick. You can't go wrong!"

I was able to check it out at the la auto show a couple of times and here's my impressions
-the painted rockers and bumpers add more presence but also make it look even larger.
- the 12 has a sharper more menacing look next to the 13's more upscale and luxurious look
- the lcd dash display, hid, and sync are pretty much the only things I would carry over or retro fit on my 12 model...this would have definitely took out some of the sting from trading in my bmw to a mustang
If I were to do it allover again and the 12/13 were available at the same price point at the same time, would I choose a 13?....absolutely, but if the rumors are true and there's a 3k price hike I'd choose the 12 all day any day. I can't stress how much I love the fact that the lower bumper, rockers and lower rear bumper is not painted. It really makes it much easier to hide road rash and rock chips from running on the track, not to mention cheaply replace. My last car looked like it had been sandblasted with only 26k mi and a dozen track days
