Looks a little to GT500'ish for me. Speaking of the GT500, not sure if this was posted elswhere yet.

i meant to put that in there, the forged internals. i think most of us have seen the HP to be pretty close between GT and Boss already. at least that is what i have seen with my car compared to normal 11-12 GT's
GT500 performance pack give me wood, and finally black stripes for grabber blue. BOING!

i cna only imagine how expensive the 13 gt500 will be with the updates. im betting the PP option cars will push 60k or more

They're both awesome cars. I like how they followed the '69 and '70 styling so there's a noticeable difference. That makes each model year unique, which in and of itself is very cool. That generally doesn't happen. You would have a hard time distinguishing between an '07, '08 or '09 GT500.
The only things I wish mine had are those functional heat extractors in the hood.

edit: it just dawned on me ford didn't mention brake cooling ducts, rear diff cooler, or a different splitter for the track on the 13 boss.

i just got this from GM:
i hope the 13 GT500 isn't price at an insane amount.
Hi Shane: There is a chance you’ve already seen today’s Camaro news, but we just wanted to personally follow up with a link to the release and make sure you didn’t have any questions. Today, Chevy announced the 2012 Camaro ZL1 Coupe’s MSRP will start at $54,095.
The ZL1 is the fastest Camaro ever, featuring a top speed of 180 miles per hour, including 0-to-60 acceleration in 3.9 seconds. With exclusive technologies such as Performance Traction Management and Magnetic Ride suspension, the ZL1 will deliver supercar levels of performance and technology for the price of a sports car when it arrives at U.S. dealers early next year. For the price and performance, the ZL1 compares favorably to much more expensive cars:
Base price Horsepower Torque Magnetic Ride
Camaro ZL1 $54,095 580 556 Standard
Audi R8 GT $196,800 560 398 Standard
Maserati GranTurismo $122,800 405 339 Not available
Mercedes SLS AMG $185,750 565 479 Not available
Here is a link to today’s release for more details and photos: http://media.gm.com/content/media/us...15_zl1_pricing
Please let me know if you have any questions or are interested in speaking with someone from Chevrolet. Thank you for your time.

hmm, its ok, not crazy about the 2013 Boss 302, looks like a GT slapped with Shelby wanabee body add ons, dont like the wheels, stripes are incomplete on the hood like 2012Yellowboss mentioned, hate Hids, the extra paint everywhere makes it look heavy and not even talking about the fact it will chip (!), dont like the license plate area that seems too Euro friendly, along with the track apps and sync and fog lights, this will definitely become a "bourgeoise" version of a bare bone true muscle car
basically it comes down to this for 2013:
GT with track pack
or
GT500
those will be the true winners for the right pocket books

Best news about the press releases? I have a feeling that there is a certain trolling member who will spend more time in the 2013 GT500 threads trolling instead of being over here knocking us and our 2012 Bosses!
I'm going to predict the 2013 Shelby will be $5k more than the 2012 and the Boss $3k more.

ive gotta see the taillights in person, but they went too gt500 on the front me thinks. the grill with removable inserts for the fogs sounds very appealing. Steeda Gus, get to work! that would be an awesome grill for us 12 owners. a new grill or a kit to make the existing like that would rock. that appears to be be the GT500 spoiler on the rear too.

Gary is right in regards to the difference between the GT with options and the Boss. The engine remains a compelling difference not only in its potential durability but more importantly in how the car drives.
I do concur that many potential Boss buyers will get the GT + Track Pack options instead, but they shouldn't full themselves into thinking they are getting a Boss equivalent.
All that said, I like all the changes except the nose, the '12 is better IMO. Additionally, I prefer the side skirts black and durable over painted and "premium". I have painted skirts on my WRX and they are a pain to clean and take a beating.
Still want to see regular Boss, pricing, if wheels on regular boss are the same, and gotta have it green.

Very interesting - my take on this, being a current 2012 GT owner who really wanted a boss but didn't want to sacrafice on creature comforts, the 2013 GT would have been perfect as it has a lot of the track features the boss does. I love the idea of the track app and I think I like the tail lights better. Also the body color side skirts and rear diffuser look better IMO. The front though looks too much like a V6 to me now . . . not sure what it is but maybe because it's more rounded??? I prefer the sharper edges on the 10-12.
Is anyone going to trade in their 12 boss for a 13 now??
