Eddie, you should at least get the GT500 and throw it on before you leave. I guessing you want a change from the base wing and it will be hard to gets parts over there. The LS wing is a little more work but not too bad (if I did it). If you do the GT500 you can have an upgrade and change to something else when you get home, no extra holes. Otherwise the whole time you will be kicking youself for not doing it there.

I know Ford did a great job on the aero work on our (soon to be) cars but the stock Boss/GT rear spoiler is a bit wimpy looking.

Thanks.
Check this thread and ask for the GT500 spoiler part number. Someone will have it.

Weights are estimated paul (very helpful!) Didn't have the exact numbers in front of him

Production is about 3/4 weeks out
Hey guys, shed some weight somewhere to lighten the load.

Yeah. I dont think our Boss wing does much if anything as far as downforce. The supplement recommends changing the rear wing if you add the LS splitter up front. So that solves it for me. I'm not really sold on the LS wing either since it was offered on the CS before the Boss was released.

I think you can order the wing on a V6 too.

Yeah. So to me it seems like its more for looks than function. It would of been nice to have some Boss specific pieces that are truely functional.

I think it's very much functional and is balanced with the Boss splitter. The LS wing and splitter create more downforce at both ends of the car. I think both setups are balanced to each other.

To me it was all about style, I can not speak much for how balanced it is for the track. If you look at the wing the Boss comes come with, I am not sure how well thought out it is with the standard splitter since you can get that spoiler on any Mustang, V6 on up. Also the new LS splitter is quite a bit smaller then the original and no changes were made to the wing. I don't think there will be a major difference until you start adding one like the 302S wing but I am sure you will see a track improvement with the LS wing, how much not sure.

I really love the pedestal look but have to admit seeing the pics Steve posted of the GT500 spoiler, it look really nice on the Boss.

They showed wind tunnel testing of the Boss combo in the Speed documentary. Any changes I make will be for style too.

Since we already hijacked Scott's thread I'll continue to do so...

Here's a couple of options for those thinking about a GT500 spoiler on Kona Blue. I really like the PS's I had done with the white rear spoiler but I really want the CF one. So I'm going to paint the Gurney flap high gloss white to match the roof. I'm sure some won't like it but I'm going to do it. If I don't like it afterwards I'll just buy another one. I included the original with the GT500 stripes just for reference with the white on the rest of the car. Mine will look like the top one.

And here is Steve's car with SVT PP wheels and white spoiler. The white didn't turn out perfect but you'll get the idea.

Its public domain now

After you get done with the spoiler don't forget you have to decide what light bar to get

I think one of these clear light bars will work.

I like that and thought about it for the shows I guess they mounted the lower lights where the splitter holes were, did not think about that till you posted that again, have not look at that car in a while.
