New owner in Nebraska, now with pic!
2012 PW #2750. 4900 miles.
7th or 8th midlife crisis fun ! Bought a '65 when I was 14 for $700. Was in the family for 15 years. My 21 yr old daughter has an ' 05 and started the itch again. I may never grow up. Lucky my wife loves cars as well.

Scott , if you are in Central Nebraska you just hit the jackpot!!! Sept. 20-22 is the Mustang Roundup/Boss Reunion in Hastings at Motorsports Park Hastings. Drags, autocross, time trials, instruction, party, dinner, tech talk Friday night with Ford Engineers at the old IMAX theatre, informal car show Friday night, Car Show with trophies over the weekend , and there will be a ton of new Bosses there -- we had over 30 last year. You will need to make it as the Product Planning Mgr for the new Boss 302 will be talking Friday night and participating the entire weekend.

Unfortunately I'm a farmer and have to irrigate for about 3 hours every morning and evening. We might try to go for an afternoon. Which day would you recommend?
Thanks, Scott

Saturday would be the best and you could sign up for the time trials , evening drags, or just the meal -- farmers gotta eat even though you are just trying to feed the rest of us!!
Call me anytime and glad to have another Boss in Nebraska.

Hoping irrigation season is over by then. Second driest summer ever in southern Dawson Co. Please send rain and warm weather. Hope to make it as harvest will begin around Oct 1st and lasts till about Thanksgiving.
We have no track experience and car is bone stock. What kind of safety and other equipment is needed. Will we be in the way running at 7or8/10th's just for fun?

If you are able to make it Friday, Jeff Lacina will be running a track school for new drivers. He combines classroom and on track instruction so that you'll feel comfortable driving on track solo by the end of the day. Driving at 7 or 8 tenths is more than fine as we have drivers of all skill levels participating in the event. We will group drivers by experience level so you won't feel like you're getting run over while learning how to drive on a road course. You can reference the link on this site for more information, or just go directly to the MPH website. You can also call George and ask him any questions you have about the event. His number is listed on MPH's website. Hope to see you in Hastings late September!

Have seen my share of 'agricultural' racing. Back in the day I auto crossed a VW Scirroco. Had a blast, then life happened. Daughter is out of school, the Boss is paid for and not a DD. We just want to have some safe, legal fun.
Hope to make some new friends and enjoy some great cars. All we have around here are fart can imports with wheels sticking 8 inches outside the fenders! Not to mention 17 yr olds in shorts, sandals turning 12k on their sport bikes, until the first time they dump it.

When purchased car had 5k miles. Have put 600 on since purchase. Noticed it does not like to be shifted quickly. (Especially 1-2). Brakes have never been used hard. Any tips to burnish them in or is it even necessary? Is MGW shifter and bracket unpleasant in everyday driving. Sorry for newby questions.
