New Member- Ordered LS- Black
New Member- Ordered LS- Black
Hello all, I just ordered an LS for 2Q delivery. I know that only having one post is usually a forum no-no when gauging interest to sell/ buy but I do not have the luxury of time on my side. I posted here and not the classified section to get the direct attention of others that already have new Bosses.
I want to replace the stock tires with something more streetable, the dealer is going to swap them as soon as the car comes in so they will have almost zero miles. My dilema is that I cannot find a buyer for the p-zeros locally to defer the cost of the new tires. I am in SE Michigan, and willing to drive a little to get the transaction going. I'm not trying to get the $2300 tirerack lists, just trying to break even, if possible.
I welcome any and all questions.

will do, its going to be driver from day one. I have gotten to know my sales guy pretty well over the past few months. He himself has told me he's glad I buying it to drive it, not show it. He sells alot of shelbys, so he is actually getting an allocation of 4 bosses, one being an LS and its mine.
I may even get this thing close to sticker, his words, not mine.

Why do you think the p-zero are not streetable. My Boss is a daily driver and the P-zero are great. unless your looking for something that will give you more mileage then I understand. If your going to keep it easy on the road then the P's are fine, but if your going to be sliding the rear on ever turn at ever chance you get like i do then keep a stock pile of them. Actually i only need to replace the rears because of it.

The LS tires only have tread wear of 60, and with Michigan roads, I'm not sure how long they would last before I need to replace them. I don't plan on taking the car to track right away. I need to learn its tendencies before I do stuff like that.
I would much rather have a set of michelin pilots or continental DW's.

Go with the Conti DW
They are rated pretty much exactly the same as the PS2's, but cost quite a bit less.
They are great tires too, they need to be warmed up a bit for best traction.
So on cool days or in the first couple miles of just daily driving, don't expect traction any better than an average all season tire. But once they've warmed up to normal operating temps, they are great.
You are doing exactly as I'd do too.
Pull those R compounds off and sell them.
Unless you are planning to track for a pay day, you don't need that extra second or so those tires will provide, unless you don't mind spending that kind of money for those tires just for that extra second or so.
