Id love a set of the carbon ceramic rotors on my car. I had the chance to drive a friends 2011 z06 with the CC brakes around the mountains recently and loved the way they felt.

Got a price cost around $1800 for the rotors and pads evidently you don't need calipers with these. Supposedly the rotors will last the life of the car. The center section is aluminum which conducts heat much better than steel or even cast iron so they should heat evenly and not warp and should cool better too. Plus they weigh like 9 pounds compared to 25 lbs for the typical iron rotor. Unfortunately they won't have 355mm or 380mm rotors till next fall.
These are on the "buy list".....
Hopefully we get some info about track use on these things....

Yeah I am interested to get some feedback as to how well they stop and how long the pads and rotor faces last under serious track conditions. Unless you are driving FLAT OUT , reviewers need not apply.

And fade to black. I haven't been back over this way in a LONG time, but my search for some CC rotors for my '11 GT500 pulled up this thread. Looks like Turbine Rotors is out of business. Did any of you ever end up getting some rotors from anybody? I currently have Full Tilt Boogie Racing three piece slotted rotors all around. They're really nice and are lighter than the stock rotors. I opted for the 13" rotors on the rear to replace the stock 11.8" rotors. They're great rotors, but I'm now wanting something even lighter.
