I suspect a bait-and-switch. From the ad:

that would be an awesome deal. based on the last thread about CARMAX offering $41k for a used Boss 302, I'd buy that, beat it up for a few months, and trade it in for a profit!

 

Bait and switch they want 5k adm

 

If that is 5k on an advertised 37k, that is still a reasonable 42k. If it is over MSRP 41k, making it 46k, well I see why it is still on the lot.

 

Don't take it the wrong way but those two scenarios can only come true in Disneyland.

 

No, they said autotrader made a mistake there it's a 5k adm on the MSRP. And the secretary was a complete idiot! She asked me like 5 times why I'm calling, then 3 times if I spoke to anyone. Then when I said, No, she asked me who it was I spoke to. then to top it off, she put me through to service. Then when I asked about the Boss, he just wanted my info. I told him I'll hold while he gets the real price. He tries for my info again. Sorry pal, you are not adding me to your email and cold calling list. Then he procceeds to tell me about them about to get an LS and this Boss has a 5k because it's so special and hard to get.

 

I called, and emailed them my info on a trade in, but never heard back. I figured it was too good to be true. Oh well, I went to a dealer here in Houston since I'm on vacation, things turned out well...............
