Mods you got and would NOT recommend

Any mods you got for your Boss and now regret or would not recommend others get?

Magnaflow Boss specific competition catback exhaust. Nothing but trouble with exhaust leaks. Does not come with new donut clamps for the cat to quad pipe. That part is always on back order and there's a wait. Was not impressed with the sound. Was seriously going back to the stock exhaust piping and just gonna get some axel backs.

Best mods were CF DS, Steeda LCA's and UCA.

The mod I would not recommend is not doing any mods at all. The Boss is a good car out of the box but is not as good as its potential. It responds very well to mods. Keep on modding.

Just P springs, great drop and reduced body roll/brake dive, but they are too stiff on stock shocks.

Non performance mods don't hurt.
I have gas hood struts, driving fog lights (lower ones) & removed sound tube.

sounds like installer error. I have no issues with my competition catback. i also have long tube headers custom by magnaflow. Take your car to a skilled installer and have them tighten everything up.

Highly doubt that it was installer error and you may not even be talking apples to apples here either since you have headers going into the X pipe... I've put on all my exhausts over the years to include a full exhaust system too. I did not want a full exhaust on the Boss just yet tho with warranty still in place. I'm the most particular MF'r there is. But hey, sounds like you think you know me...

After talking to Magnaflow about it they said to never reuse the stock donut clamps and to order new. Which begs the question why Magnaflow didn't provide new clamps? They said the stockers would never seal up the Magnaflow Boss H to the cats right again and in my case they were correct. However, after installing the new clamps it was the same. I managed to greatly reduce the put put whisper to a livable situation at cold start up but I regret disassembling the stock H from the cats. After the exhaust warmed up, things seemed to be good.

My advise is simple. If you're not going full exhaust, then just get axel backs.

Not doing any Mods that would permanently change how the vehicle came out of the factory...i.e. Drilling holes for Roush side splitters.....OPPS!!
