Missing your stored car much?

Not even two months in storage ( thanks to Trackey being late) and I'm already missing driving the Boss. Been storing cars for decades but don't recall bent so impatient to get one back on the road before. Going to be long winter.

Yeah I cheated a few times. I don't have a Boss, but I have a Roush. These days we've been having in Chicago are teasing me. I'm expecting any day to get dumped on with snow..

Are you from Oakville by any chance? If so I've seen your Boss around

Still driving in South Dakota :D

Winter? What winter? Drove mine to work today (note the frost on the roof ). High will be 47 and we have NO snow on the ground. We had a light dusting a few weeks ago, but they didn't salt/sand the roads so life is good I could get used to "winters" like this. The last two were loooonnngg.

This winter will get nasty soon enough. With the lakes yet to freeze over we are gonna get walloped when it finally does snow.

I get used to the cold of January/February. It's the on/off slushy/wet/windy months of March and April that get under my skin...

Yes and I have been tempted to put the battery back in and take her for a spin on a few nice days. Only thing making it a little easier is not being home during the week and having to see the garage! I did remove the stereo last weekend and plan to install the new one in the next couple of weeks.

71 degrees today in west Texas. Got free time off for the holidays. Filled up the tank and am driving it like I stole it with TracKey enabled!!

You guys think storing for the cold season is rough, try storing a vehicle for 6-12 or even 15 months while being deployed.

I know I am. I've had mine stored for over a week now and won't get to drive it again until probably tomorrow. If this keeps up, I might have to actual put the car cover on it sometime.

Sorry to hear about the stored cars. At least you can have snow fun in a lot of cases!

I went with a couple of guys to see a nice collection and race car restoration facility near Santa Cruz yesterday. 65* and I got my first drive on HWY 17 in the Boss!

IIRC you boys in Texas were hibernating from a stetch of 100+F days last summer that was somewhere in the weeks or months too

Went without a Mustang of my own (still had the wife's '08) for two years after we PCS'd to Germany. Have to say the Boss was worth the wait though. Once spring comes it will be nice for the 200+ mile weekend trips home, not to mention some driving around Bavaria for some photo ops
