Missing Sock Adjuster

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but I went to adjust the rear shocks for the first time and found that the red adjuster cap on the top of the driver's side shock was missing.

It doesn't appear to be something that could just "fall off" so I'm thinking maybe it was already missing when the shock was installed on the assembly line?

Do you guys think this is a piece that can simply "popped" back on the top of the shock, or will the whole shock need to be replaced.

I had Tokicos before, where the cap with the numbers would pop off, but the actual adjustment screw remained in the center.

I reached in with a light an my phone and took some pics from the top.... there doesn't appear to be anything in the center.

Now that is strange. You don't suppose it might be laying around back there do you? You have me worried! I will have to check mine.

I looked around under the carpet the best I could. I don't think it's laying around anywhere. Considering how tightly the others seem too be pressed in, I'd have a hard time believing it could fall out.

I'm friends with the salesman who sold me the car, so I sent him an email with pics hoping he can smooth things over with the service dept. I'm optimistic that they'll fix or replace under warranty. Although I can't help but think there's a chance I'll get some line of BS about why it's not covered.

Seems like I recall someone else on here that had something like that going on back when the first Bosses were hitting the streets.

Edit Here....
