Look for my MGW shifter ordered thread.
The MGW shifter feel is not too much different,( really good)
But the precision of the gear engagement is out of this world.
I have never missed or had trouble trying to find a gear since the install.
I am 5'8" you need to move seat forward more and raise the seat height and it will feel more comfortable.

I am just a bit under 6'3, but have a 'taller than average' torso, so my inseam is only 32/33 on average. Also with a 'beefy frame' I worried whether or not the Recaros would be ergonomically correct for me. I sat in a 2012 Boss, and a 2013 GT w/Recaros and was very relieved to see that I fit just fine. Whoohoo!
But back on topic, an MGW is part of my mod list as I have felt first hand the notchiness and lack of precision on the OEM stick on my wife's '11 GT. I am very much looking forward to getting my Mustang, but finishing it off the proper way. However it won't be until August/September until I can provide my own feedback.

Well maybe the third as Im not sure about window tint... Then a mod to the grill, then the MGW is a MUST... The stock shifter will be the first thing I pull or have someone pull for me. Like you I am shooting for Aug.....

I'm looking to make a decision on a new shifter. Quite the rave reviews for the MGW on this thread. A local shop I use recommended the Steeda Tri-Ax Short Throw Shifter.

Anyone have experience with the Steeda?

I have the MGW. Great piece.
Steeda does look to be about the same price once you get it installed. 250 for the shifter top, 80 for the bushing, **** should be OK to reuse. 330 and you still end up with the ford lower shifter housing with, for lack of a better term foam rubber wrapped bushings.
MGW replaced the entire shifter eliminating the two weakest links, the internal bushings as well as the single bushing at the rear of the shifter. To me, well worth the extra cost, $45.

You guys WAY undersold the MGW. I just got mine installed and it makes a world of difference. It's hard to believe this is even the same gearbox. Everything from the affirmative input required to go left or right to the 1/2 and 5/6 gates to the shorter throw the the incredibly precise engagement are just phenomenal.
If you are considering a Steeda or Barton or any other shifter you are making a huge mistake. They cost nearly the same amount but they still keep the crappy stock shifter bottom end. Don't buy that axle back, stop looking at any other mods until you have this shifter in your car.
TLDR - Get the MGW yesterday for your Boss.

I'm looking forward to getting mine and enjoying it on my new Boss.
