I've never heat cycled R888s and that's what I used to run most. I did heat cycle the 555RIIs since they only charged me $10 for all 4, but based on their condition after two track days it didn't help

neither have I - of the two, I prefer the NT01, like most folks Never heated cycled them either.

That isn't too bad - worth it for 305's

Thanks again

No problem. These PF01s were silver when I bought them two years ago. I had them painted black, but it looks like they now sell them in gloss black so should be available when you get your 3Q car. Too bad the NT01s don't come in these sizes. They make a 315/30/18 that would fit, but it's 25.3" tall which is 1.8" shorter than stock which really messes with the gearing and top speed limiter. I don't get why they don't have a 315/35 or 305/35 in the NT01.

agreed - love the NT01 for a few reasons; they stick pretty good, last fairly long and are cheap! Not many folks making the 305/35/18.

Same with the Enkei wheels, cheap and can replace easily and quickly!

For PFC 01 brake pads, call Alex Leonard directly at Performance Friction: (803) 222-2141 EXT. 8702, tell him Scott Bartlett sent you.

Thanks. It was basically my wife's idea. I was mulling color options and suggested blue and her response was: "You already have a blue car. It's nice, but that orange one looks bad ***! You fill someone's mirrors with that and they're going to get the hell out of your way."

Gary,

Back to the tire size/selection issue:

I did some searching and Continental makes racing slicks for the Grand Am Rolex GT series in the same sizes that you are running on the Enkei's............ They're a bit spendy, but, hey....bet they stick pretty good

Im jealous right now Gary. When is the next event up there? The only other one near me is Hallett at the end of this month. Cant wait to get out there. I'd like to go out with another Boss to compare handling with the different springs.

Yup. Steeda sports. Since I wont be tracking in Italy I'm going to hold off on trying out stiffer springs like the Steeda comps.

Link to where to buy?? I wonder if they'll stick too good for the suspension setup I'd be interested in giving them a go though. Do you think they'd last longer?

Here's the schedule: http://www.racemph.com/MPH-2011-Schedule-Single-Page-05-11-2011.pdf I think the Guard Rail Club Days would be open track days. George did email me about hosting a Boss rendezvous for both classic and new ones on September 24/25. I said absolutely! I'm waiting on more details, but it would be a blast to get a bunch of Bosses running together. They're a bunch of great guys there so hopefully we'll get it pulled together.

My next event will probably be Brainerd International Raceway on 6/18-6/19.

I think you'ld have to buy them through a Grand Am Rolex team if I'm reading the web page correctly. Maybe Rehagen would be a source (although they're not in the GT series)?

I would think the compounds would be similar to the GA/CSCC series tires that we've gotten from Dean before; it is an endurance series....
