The Enkeis are 20lbs so very light. The LS wheels are about 29? The Nitto tires are about 4lbs heavier than the Hoosiers so somewhat of a compromise there. I suppose the ultimate would be the Enkeis with a corresponding R6 in a 305/35/18 and 285/35/18, but they don't make them. At some point aren't we splitting hairs on the weight issue?
To really get a comparo, I need to run the car back to back with the Enkeis and the LS wheels on the same tire compound and same brake setup to even have a chance of determining if it makes a noticable difference.Unfortunately I don't have Ford's R&D budget or track time
Thanks for that!!
Would have been nice if Ford contracted BBS (even Fikse....hahaha) for some nice light forged wheels! I know, it is splitting hairs, but just the thought of 9 additional lbs. of rotational mass per corner.....

You'd think I would break down and buy a camera one of these days. Heck it's only one tire.

you could get 4 cameras
Yep, hope to learn a lot. Found out today that Friday the 20th they have an open track day, run all you want. I will not do that since I will have an instructor in the car with me on Saturday. If all goes well I will be going to Sebring a few weeks later, they cut that down to one day but it is the whole 3.7 mile run, not shortened down.

Total beginner? Stick with the OE tires, unless you insist on keeping them pristine - then the cheaper of the two. You'll figure out what to do next
