Local dealership has a CO Boss that he wants $15k over sticker. When I asked if he actually thought he would sell it at this price, he told me with a straight face that it would be no problem and they just sold one for the same price. Guy drove down from Canada.....blah...blah.....blah.

That was a few weeks ago and guess what? It's still for sale: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...5&aff=national

Unfortunately, the economy is tanking a little - at the same time it seems that the production/delivery woes are being solved.

1. Friend 1: While at dealership about to sign for Silver LS at $2K over, receives call from dealership 4 hours South of him who sold him Silver LS at MSRP.

2. Me: 2 days before car is to arrive at agreed price of $4k over, another dealer calls with LS being off-loaded from truck. I tell him $3K tops or I wait the 2 days. Dealer agrees and I buy Black/Red LS at $3K over. Note: Dealer has new 2008 KR on showroom floor reminding them that greed will sometimes bite you in the ***.

3. Friend 2: Buys the Black/Red I had arranged to buy at $4K over.

4. Friend 3: Buys the Silver/Red that Friend 1 passed over at $2K over.
Congrats to the group of you!! Would you be willing to post or PM me your LS #'s and the last 5 digits of you VINs for the registry?

Yup, ADM's will soon be gone on this car. Just wait until Ford starts stamping the higher numbers for the remaining 2012's, then the 2013's. It will be a good time to buy then.

Count your blessings. Dealers nears me have yet to show me any respect as a long term customer.

Let me give another possibility. I have ZERO info to back any of this up other than in my own little pea sized brain. So don't get all bent if you don't agree. Free advise is usually worth about half what you paid for it.

I've seen several post here and other Boss related sites where 4th quarter allocations are being pulled. Not a lot but more than one. Could be Rotten dealers blaming Ford when they never had one to begin with. But it could be Ford is Pulling those allocations because they are not going to hit the 3250 and or the 750.

I say that because I've yet to see a car on any of the boards even close to 1500. They should be at least there and maybe in the 2000's depending on when they stop the 2012 build.

There are lots of reasons they could cut the build short. If some other vehicle needs some of the same parts and the other vehicle has a higher profit margin then I can see them doing that. It's pretty obvious to me that the Boss is a break even at best for Ford or THEY WOULD NEVER have limited it to 4000. I don't thing they did it because they wanted all us to have a rare car.

I could be totally off base but I'm really glad I have a Vin and a build week. I just Sayin.

I think there have been other Ford specialty cars that began with a smaller limited production run and then turned into a readily available car. GT500 perhaps?

It's a Halo vehicle that may put your unborn grandchildren through (part of) college. In the mean time make it a daily driver til you get to the track.

As far as the 2012 count on the street Boss, they are half way to 1500 half way throught the year. As far as Ford making a bunch more of these, I agree Ford is not making much on each Boss at $40K. I saw a V6 for $30K yesterday and thought, wow 10K more for my Boss, what a deal. They had a GT500 on the show room floor for $57K and I thought the same thing. But..., Opinions are like A _ _ Holes, Everyone's got one. Or is that everyone is one, I can't remember.

Its a real possibility. However, Ford has a big incentive to start moving units if it wants to recoup their engineering and stamping costs on the Boss program.

I went to the Ford Dealer in Ann Arbor, MI today to "purchase" the LS they had on Cars.com at list. It turns out they subscribe to a service that takes any VIN's the dealer sends to them and posts all the window sitcker info on the website. Obviously in the rare event a car has an ADM, that is not reflected. They had the car in the show room with a $15K ADM. I made a big stink about the cars.com site being an offer to sell and I have accepted it. The sales person even pulled up the add to confirm my claim. Of course many of us have hashed this issue to death and I surly don't want to cover that ground AGAIN!
It was the first time I have seen a Black LS in person. We all have our own taste, but WOW, that red was a bit overwhelming, Definately not for me.
$20K over the Street Boss with Both Options, WOW!
