Lottery Boss

Does anyone know when a dealer lottery car would be built? I supposely have a lottery Boss (Not LS) on order and the salesman told me his Ford rep was getting it built in the first quarter but so far he can not give me ANY information. No confirmation the oder was placed, DORA, VIN, visibility veiw etc. Nothing. Was just wondering if any of you guys could shed any light. Thanks

Don't mean to sound rude at all here, but you will get a better understanding of all of this and more by reading through the past posts. This has been talked about a lot here, then ask if there is something in there you may not understand completely.

Your dealer's Zone rep can confirm the build quarter. The order can be placed at any time. The dealer should be able to place the order and give you the order number and confirmation of the order. That being said, having an order placed doesn't necessarily mean a car will ever be built - that's where the allocation comes in. A dealer can place a hundred Boss orders, but if they don't have any allocations, none will be built.

I don't have a great way of telling you how to confirm that your dealer actually has an allocation. That seems to be an informal communication between zone and dealer. Their zone rep can tell the dealer what quarter the build is planned.

So, get the dealer to place the order and give you the confirmation paper. With the order number and dealer name/number you can verify the order has been placed through Ford Customer Service. About a month prior to build, you should be assigned a vehicle identification number and a build week. A week prior to build you should be able to see your Window Sticker.

Then after it's built, you wait .. and wait ... and wait ... and wait ...

Clear as mud?
