I'm pretty sure it's limited to 155.

So why does the speedo go to 180? Will the track key disable the limiter?

The 302R does not have a speed limiter for obvious reasons...

Would that be because it's a race car with a different transmission and driveshaft?

The street Boss cars have a 155 speed limiter and TracKey is not going to disable it.

Rsolution, just to help with your expectations it can easily be a month to receive your car AFTER it's built. Don't get too excited until you have your railcar number.

Mine took exactly a month to arrive to the dealer after it was actually built on the line, and that is without any odd ramp 51 delays.

Not trying to discourage anyone, but it's important to have realistic expectations; plenty of us here have already been through this so there are lots of data points.

At any rate, you will forget all the waiting once the car arrives.

I was REALLLY woundering this, thanks for the info, i have been waiting since JAN 3rd when i put my deposit down. so if its a few more weeks oh well, and i wasnt talking about the TRACK KEY to disable the SPeed limiter, it will go directly to mike dez racing for a few tweeks straight from the dealer.

Very seldom are performance cars able to max their speedos from the factory. It's all marketing.

I Hear 3 to 4 weeks for shipping after its built, is there any way to fly out and pickem up at the plant I'm also in the navy and would like some extra time with my first brand new mustang ever. I have owned a 67,69,72,88 t-top wish they would bring that back , 91,and 94
I still own the 94 will be my street monster 9 second car on pump gas.

But really I'm excited to get my first new mustang, everybudy talks about what ford should do, but if your not someone who supports ford by buying there product, your opinion really. Doesn't matter. Ford's new boss is awsome and I can't wait to have it on thed streets and a few select track events.

You can do that with a Corvette; pay a few hundred extra to pick it up at the Corvette museum next to the plant. I've been to the museum a couple of times and each time new owners were picking up their rides.

How much of a markup did you have to pay at Tasca? Dealerships in New England all seem to be asking 5-10k over MSRP.

same thing i found most places, i was going to wait till i was on deployment for the navy and pick up a gt500 for the same price, then wen i called tasca i got it for MSRP NO MARK UP, funny thing is the salesmen didnt know anything about it, he actually had to ask his sales manager to find out if they could take the order,

TASCA is supposed to get 3 boss 302s, and im getting the second one, and like i said my deposit was down in JAN, 1k to hold the boss order.... well worth it .....
