KB Boss for sale in Germany

Thought I would share this with everyone. A co-worker came across this on the local craigslist, thing I found odd about it was this person claims it is number 560 of 750? Looked back at the numbers and this doesn't seem right

The 750 number may be in reference (incorrectly) to the 750 LS made each year. Could be an honest mistake, but regardless its inaccurate.

Quite possible. This kinda pisses me off though, they only had 6 total for all of Europe and this guys gets one and decides to sell it!

Almost $57K, think import laws say you must have it in country for six months prior to selling.

According to my info, there are actually nine that went over via those channels. The one for sale was one of the first three sent, and one of five KB overall.

Maybe he's coming back, so he's selling it and will pick up another one stateside. Do the military channel cars make it in without paying duties or taxes?

So one of nine for all of Europe, still think it's wrong to buy it just to try and sell it for a profit. Tend to see that with a few things over here. If he is heading back he should have know that was coming when he bought it. If the mileage is really that low then it would seem he had no intention of keeping it.

These cars are brought into the country without having to pay any import fees or taxes. Same was true with mine, which was purchased in FL and shipped privately. Not exactly sure who is responsible for those fees if the vehicle is sold to a local national.

I'll have to try and get back sometime and take a look at it. Was thinking about that when I passed it, but didn't have time to stop.

An owner from Finland just showed up with a KB Boss. His didn't come through the military channels though.

This one was actually for sale on the economy, not sure how they pulled that one off.

If a car owned by a member of US military is sold to a European resident, local customs duties (in Germany, 10% of the price per sales contract) plus government sales tax (VAT, 19% for Germany, for a total of 30.9%) are due for immediate payment. Basically, selling it here requires the same procedures as importing directly from the US.

Converting the car to local standards is extra, of course yet not subject to taxing.

Thought the US member had to have the vehicle for at least 6 months before it could be sold?
