Just signed up for the Feb 3rd SVT/Mustang Centex event

I just signed up for the CenTex SVT, SMC event Feb 3rd in San Marcos at Harris Hill. Sounds like a fun time. They have a seminar Saturday the 4th with John Clor the auto writer and SVT communications guy which I can not attend as we are already having baseball tryouts for my son that day. Looks to be a great event, though. Funny thing was they said they will have cars on display including a GT, Terminator Cobra and a 2012 Boss! Maybe they can just watch mine on Friday on the track

Any other Austin/SA folks thinking of going?

Ill be there with my Laguna Seca, still working on getting the track prep done. Im upgrading the brake fluid to Dot 4 next weekend and still have to install the brake cooling ducts.
Is this you first track experience? I'm looking forward to the track, this will be my first time other than the drag strip.
I know a few of the guys going and it is a great bunch, it should be fun.
Glad to see a fellow TMS'er and another BOSS will be there as well.

See you at the track.
Chris

Chris, looking forward to meeting you and some of the other local guys, plus seeing your LS. I have been running laps over at the Driveway on 183 near the airport building experience, so maybe 90-100 laps on the Boss. All of my experience in the past is at the dragstrip, too. I bought the Boss to start racing on the track.
See you in 2 weeks!

Shane, I definitely plan on coming up your way to check out ECR in 2012. I would like to trailer it up there, though, just in case something happened, and that isn't in the budget yet. I am working on that part with my other boss (wife) right now...

if it makes you feel any better, there are only two parts of the track where you could hit something and at a HPDE no one ever has. i live 3.5 hours one way fro ECR, i drive there monthly.

this vid shows the track and elevation changes very nicely:

Nice video, Shane. I'll consider it, and maybe if I can control myself to run a little conservatively the risks are a little lower. It looks like a fun track, that is for sure.
Google maps puts me at about 4:30, which means I should be able to make it in about 3:45...
Are you running the stock tires or your new S-04s? I didn't hear a lot of squealing, just sticking.

H2R is less than an hour away, but I can't swing a Friday. I'll be out there again soon enough.
