Well i can confirm the KOOKS long tubes def dont need any tuning after the install... just finshed installing mine myself then went over to the dyno.... 430 RWHP in my BOSS installation was not very hard...... my knuckles may not agree though

Yes cats... also put in QTPs for the side pipes ( for when i want to be nice to the neighbors ) i have a custome tune for my JLT intake however i had been running that for a while and the first dyno pull listed with 401 is WITH the JLT already on.... the only mods to the second dyno pull was the KOOKs long tubes and high flow cats/mid pipe
i also have flowmaster american thunders and and the stock pipe coming from the KOOKS to the mufflers.

fitment
1.remove battery box.. and battery
2.remove cross support brace between shock towers
3. remove airbox and sound tube...... throw out sound tube.
4. unbolt engine mounts 15mm
5.bolt all header bolts you can get from above...... i forget which ones i ded specifically but almost all top bolts came out this way
6. put car on jackstands HIGH or preferable on a lift..... i used a lift at my buddies shop .... however i did all the work myself and im not a mechanic
7. remove cross brace on bottom
8. remove starter
9. unplug and remove all O2 sensors
10.remove factory h-pipe
11. dont bother unbolting the cats
12.jack up engine using front of transmission.... or put stand under front of trans and lower lift
13. unbolt headers... remove headers and cats as one peace
14. directions say to remove engine mounts...... i didnt bother.
15. remove all upper studs and the rear stud on the bottom on both sides.
16. place gaskets in place
17. thread alllllllllllllllllllll headers bolts DO NOT TIGHTEN
18. install STARTER..... i didnt do this and had to loosen the whole passenger side back up man rules prevented me from reading the directions.
19.tighten all header bolts pain in *** is lower passenger side centers..... i didnt put in the one second from the front bottom on this side..... if i had removed the engine mounts i could have gotten to it.... but the A/C lines are defff in the way in this area also.
20. bolt all the other stuff on reverse order
21. drive around town slowing down and speeding up and drooling over how AWESOME it sounds and then relize you just gained 20HP across your entire rpm band and 30 peak

I did the whole job by myself ..... i FULL day without ever doing it before on a mod motor car. I could do it again in half the time.....its rather simple and the fit is excellent only other issue was starter wire was alittle close to header.... bent it over alittle and its fine

Sorry to hear that and hope I did not jinx ya! I had heard that the hi-flow cats cause a P0420 and P0430. Might be able to put O2 extensions (the old spark plug extenders) on and see if that helps. I would like to get this system but I have to deal with emissions here in NY also. A tune can shut off the CAT monitor but here in NY that is going to cause an emissions inspection failure shortly also.

Nice bump! Extra speed will be gained from weight reduction that will not show up on the dyno--your wallet is now lighter by 2K

I HATE header bolts - or nuts on studs. Even worse - I hate tightening them up after some heat expansion. I hope you won't be sorry you skipped a bolt.
